Pictures Break

Same issue as others. Pictures break after a few weeks. App hasn’t been updated in three years. Save your money.

Response from developer

Hello, Thank you for your review. BlogTouch can publish posts with photos on your blog, but the app does not host or manage your uploaded photos - only Google (the developer of Blogger.com) does that, Google stores and manages the posts and the photos. In this case, for whatever reason, a temporary issue or not, Google blocked access to some photos. You can still find the photos in your Google Drive account in a folder called "BlogTouch for Blogger". The only solution in this case is to update the post adding back the missing photos. You can also write me an email to hello@alexdenk.eu and I will gladly provide you with more details.

Blogs With Pictures Will (Eventually) Break

(Edited for 2023). Perhaps this is because the author hasn’t updated the app in three years, but images posted through the app have been breaking, a few at a time. Discussions on the Blogger Help forums reveal that this app stores images to a temporary file. When the time limit expires, so do the images.

It’s a good thing that I never discarded the original images. I’m having to go back and repost the images on the Blogger site itself.

Dear user, can you give me more details about the offline/published tab problem? Please send me an email to hello@alexdenk.eu and I will gladly help you. Indeed, there was a problem for some users on iOS 12, but the good news is that this is fixed now - you can download the update now (the 5.2.3 version update). Regards

2022 And Still Working

I keep expecting this incredibly useful app to vanish as youngsters flood the web with videos but so far it keeps posting. For a man in a van who posts modus days with lots of photos this app is brilliant. It formats my script and I can insert photos, dozens of them, or write script between photos after uploading them. Makes Blogger, which I’ve been on since 2007 with some 6,000 posts all with photos, truly portable. Even traveling last winter through Mexico for six months. Simply brilliant.

Help!

I have been using this app for about 6 years. Now I’m planning a big trip to Africa. For some reason there is no way to add a subscription link to my app. I have written twice to developers and searched the web but no luck for me. I really like the app for my iPhone and I understand easily most of the options but PLEASE make it easy and accessible to have a way for readers to follow the blog and get notified when entries are submitted.

Dear user, Thank you for your review, I'm taking notes of all of them. You can add such a link only from Blogger.com preferences, the app cannot help you - this app can only publish/edit posts. You can also send me an email to hello@alexdenk.eu and I will gladly provide you with more details.Regards.

It Figures

The only really useful blog management app for iPad is exclusively for the Google-verse. (Insert bad language here ...)

Please consider doing this exact development for all blogging, not just WP or Blogger.

I give up.

Response from developer

Dear user,Thank you for your review, I'm taking notes of all of them.As you pointed out, this app is made for Blogger.com (and there is also a Wordpress version). Can you suggest any other platform? You can also send me an email to hello@alexdenk.eu and I will gladly provide you with more details.Regards

Viewing Stats?

I can’t see anything that tells me what my viewing stats are like.

Response from developer

Dear user, You can see the view stats on the Blogger.com site, the app cannot include such details. Hope this helps.

Money Grab

I used this app for free for years, then all of a sudden they want to charge me lol
Yeah, no. Deleted!
I contacted Mr.Denk, notified him and he eventually told me I had to purchase it.

Response from developer

Dear user, If you used the app before maybe you made the upgrade and now you just need to restore it. You can restore the upgrade inside the app. You can also write me an email to hello@alexdenk.eu and I will gladly provide you with more details. Regards

I like it but it’s no longer supported

I do like this app but I need the pro version, which I purchased awhile back. My new iPad continually asks me to restore the purchase but it doesn’t seem to work. I messaged the developer but no reply. So I decided just to buy the upgrade again, but that doesn’t work either. So I sent the developer another email, still no reply. So, even though I like it, I need the pro features which I cannot access as the developer seems to have abandoned this app. Too bad :(

Response from developer

Dear user, The app is fully maintained and supported. Please check your email for answers. Make sure when you restore your old purchase to login into the App Store with the same account you used to upgrade in the first place. You can also write me an email to hello@alexdenk.eu and I will gladly provide you with more details. Regards

Pretty good but...

This app would be good if I didn’t keep getting the upgrade notification every 2 minutes. Also the fact that I can’t post public is very annoying. I ope you can fix these issues so I can continue to use this app.

Response from developer

Dear user, I guess you are using the free version of the app. You can make the upgrade to Pro and the notification will not appear anymore. You can also write me an email to hello@alexdenk.eu and I will gladly provide you with more details. Regards

No Longer Posts Photos

The app will no longer post photos. It automatically saves the post to “offline.” Before this problem, I’d give it high marks. If I can’t use it with photos, the app is useless.

Response from developer

Dear user, To publish posts just select the "Published" status in Options - this way you send your posts online, not just on your phone. Please write me an email to hello@alexdenk.eu and for sure we can find some solutions. Regards
