Trying to support cab drivers, but...
I would rather support cabbies than Uber, but I'm SF the app tries locating a driver in Hayes Valley (my pickup location base), but never finds one. Also, trying to type in the address typically doesn't help the cabbies because they still ask where I want to go. The whole point of taking a cab is to say "I'm going to this corner or this store". They know the city. But now I have to lookup the precise address to use the app (before you could use the app without having to type an address). It is really challenging to find a cabbie on the app now and I end up using Uber.

Pretty Ok
Used this app during a conference when I saw the cars driving around the city. It came faster than an Uber or Lyft who kept cancelling on me. Only thing I would be wary about is that If you have to take a toll road or bridge, that doesn’t seem to be built into the app for the drivers so my driver asked me for the toll $ and I don’t have cash so I didn’t know what to do. A little weird and would make me second guess using it if I need to take a toll.

Now, it doesn’t work at all
1. You are REQUIRED to put in your destination, but CANNOT type in the address. Rather, you have to pinch/zoom & navigate to it on a map, so that you can’t even pay attention to your surroundings.
2. Now, once you finally navigate to your destination, the app CRASHES, making this app literally unusable. Avoid.
3. Once, while it was still working, I scheduled a cab to take me to the train for a vital trip. FlyWheel CANCELLED the scheduled pickup.
4. FAR WORSE, they DID NOT TELL ME THEY CANCELLED the pickup, nearly destroying my trip. I’m now deleting the app.

Won’t select our address
This app insists that our house is at a different address that doesn’t even exist. Trying to select on the map doesn’t work. There’s no way to type in an address, so it’s literally impossible to request a taxi to our house.
Do not use app to schedule rides to airport
I had an international flight and I needed a taxi. Had used flywheel before. But this time they neither showed up or informed me they couldn’t. Unbelievable. You cannot even call them. When they responded to my email they said simply that they had no driver to pick me up. They did not notify me or anything. Nothing through the app. I had to wake a friend to get me to the airport on time and it was a crunch. Do not use the app!!! If you call them they are reliable. It is a totally different service. I was so mad I deleted!

Badly misfunctions
I used to use this all the time. I prefer professional taxi drivers. But it gets hopelessly confused. Examples: I enter the pickup address and it automatically moves it to the other (wrong) side of the block. It insists I enter destination, and half of the time then flips the pickup to that address. When I need a taxi I don’t have the time or patience to fiddle with a badly faulty user interface. Taxis are losing out

Gets pickup and drop off locations confused
I commend them for effort but wow, on two phones with two different accounts it confuses the pickup location with the destination and there’s no workaround. This renders it useless.
Also, the address database needs to optimized for places people want to go—if you enter SFO it should not be offering a bunch of other options first.
But calling the taxi dispatcher on the phone works great!

Crashes
Buggy app, would scan my payment info and crashes when I tried to enter it manually.
What happened?
App used to work great. And I love taking real taxis (no surge pricing, drivers usually know where they’re going). But now I can’t enter pick-up or drop-off destinations with text (there’s a field but it’s frozen), only by dragging on a map, which doesn’t work well—and sometimes i only have an address and am not immediately familiar with exact map location. Very cumbersome, time consuming, and doesn’t work. Also the last pick-up entered “sticks” and freezes so that if I’m somewhere different, tough, I can’t order from my new location, even if many hours since I last used the app. Last night it never worked, I waited and even called dispatch, waited forever and finally used Lyft.

Great Service, Terrible App
The idea of being able to order a Taxi ahead of time and know that I can rely on it to be there early in the morning for my airport ride is fantastic. And it really is great…when the app actually works. This app is so full of bugs that it’s sometimes completely unusable for ride scheduling. Some days I can’t even enter a pickup address because the map functionality doesn’t work.
I learned the hard way to NEVER open the payments tab in the app before arriving at my destination because the app will erroneously start charging my card. Simply opening the payments page triggers a charge before the ride is even over. There is no option to see what will be charged to the card on file in advance or to confirm the payment. I had one ride for which I had two separate charges get automatically applied to my card and then the driver announced at the end of the ride that he didn’t accept app payments (drivers are not actually allowed to do this) and I had to pay him with my card again! I ended up paying over $100 for a 15 minute ride to the airport and I had to reach out to customer support to get refunded for the two extra charges.
