TripLog Does It All
I’ve been using TripLog for years. It’s super simple, but you can track everything expense-wise for your car. Not only mileage, but categories for different purposes so you can deduct it on your taxes. Keep track of expenses like fuel and repairs. It will remind you to change the oil. Take a picture of your gas receipt and it will scan it and automatically enter the date, time, location, price per gallon, total amount and more. You can calculate miles per gallon if you fill your tank. You don’t have to think about it, it tracks automatically. Bargain of the century! The support system is very responsive too. App Driver must have
As a door dash and instacart driver this app has been a money saver! Highly recommend to anyone in the app driving independent contractor field. Not only does it help with tracking mileage (since Door Dash sends estimates and instacart provides no reports) but it also lets you see the tax deduction for the miles you have driven. It really helps you understand what you’re working for. Even purchased the usb drive to input in my vehicle as I’ve had a few times where I forget to turn the app on. Good for small biz owner
I’ve been with Triplog since 2019 before raised their pricing and changed all the features. Although I’m not gonna lie, the upgrade was very confusing and I don’t know if it’s worthy for the overall pricing yet, I really enjoy how simple it is that I could go back and look at all my travel data and change it from personal to business. As a small biz owner, it really simplify my life since sometimes there could be multiple trips in one day mixing with personal and business purpose. And I really like the fact that I don’t have to plug my phone in the car of a trip. Instead, I could just set the automatic trip tracking with a certain speed. Hopefully they can solve my billing issue soon and I will change from 4 stars to 5 stars after that.Show lessCharlottequeen
Outstanding and Stress Free
I have used the app for the last 4 years with complete satisfaction. I know there are many free apps out there, but I promise you will pay for it in other ways. This app can be set to run automatically or as needed. All you have to do is delete the trips you don’t need or want to include in your report. No more trying to remember to turn the app on or missed dates. End of month trip reviews takes minutes to complete. The app can create an excel sheet that can be sent effortlessly. Tracking fueling events and payments is as simple as a scan of the gas receipt, and the data is entered for you. I challenge any company to come up with something better.Show lessZnbDO
Finally an app that works!
I have tried several apps to track my mileage, but none were accurate. I came across TripLog and this is the first app that has gotten my miles accurate. I am loving how I can just slide from personal to business for my miles. The scanning or uploading of my receipts is also a plus. To be able to have my CPA, to just login and see my expenses or to upload the files CSV or PDF and to connect multiple apps, it has all been seamlessly. I appreciate the time and thought it took, to make this app work. I don’t usually leave a review, but I want to help others make a sound business decision. Best way to track your business mileage
I love this app. It automatically starts tracking every time I get into my vehicle. I can set up a lot of default locations and categories to make categorization of my mileage much simpler. The reports that it automatically generates help me keep things organized and serve as a reminder if I’m behind in categorizing my trips. Unlike QuickBooks tracker, it knows which vehicle I’m in and starts tracking when the radio connects to the Bluetooth as opposed to when it realizes you’re moving. Great if it wasn’t so glitchy
Have used the app now for several years. Initially, I just used the app on my phone, but was depleting my battery such that I paid the $75 for the plug in thumb drive locator.
The continuing problem since is that the thumb drive sometimes will not record trips. Very sensitive. Have to unplug and plug in frequently on the fly in order to get it to record, which is dangerous while driving. Trips not recorded have to be entered manually, which can’t be done on the phone, and by computer is a ton of work. TripLog provided no instructions. Customer service is nonexistent.

Triplog review
Occasionally the program will not start up at the beginning of the trip and I have to manually adjust it to the actual trip route. However, I bought the app because my odometer display has a short and doesn’t always display when I need the info most. Triplog has allowed me to capture the needed info 98% of the time without having to remember to write down every little movement and calculating everything manually. The reporting process has greatly reduced the time spent capturing mileage and travel for tax purposes at the end of each year. It is frustrating at times when it fails to capture some starting points, but overall is a tremendous improvement over manually capturing everything.
Another great advantage is I can use it as a backup for capturing my time spent on jobs for my customers.Show lessboocav
Not Really worth the the price
I decided to try this app for year 2023. I really like it so far it’s very detailed. I also bought the TripLog USB to plug into the car and that works great. So far I’m very impressed with this app.

I’ve been using this app for a bit now and I loved it at first. I only wrote the review because they offered me a month free if I write a review. I still think the app is good however I’m learning very quickly that they charge way way to much for there products considering how they do not work. I paid $80 for the triplog drive so that I can save battery on my phone since I spend most of the day on the road. However the device does a terrible job at getting gps signal and less than a month after I purchased it the thing completely stopped working. I contacted customer support and talked to Fred but could not here him well for most of the phone conversation because of very very loud background noise. Long story short I can not recommend this app or the triplog products because they are all overpriced for how well they work. I feel like I completely wasted about $100.Show lessDetailed App

We’ve been using Triplog for several years for a combination of personal and 2 separate businesses with multiple vehicles. I love that it automatically records all the miles we drive. It requires a little bit of cleanup to make sure the person (phone) that recorded the miles (which defaults to a particular vehicle) was actually in the vehicle and assign the appropriate vehicle and business type. I also have to delete duplicates if my husband and I ride in the same vehicle together, but the convenience of never having to hit start and stop makes it totally worth it.
