  • Trips now hidden under dates

    I don’t like the new layout of the recorded trips because I have to click on each date and expand to see the trips. UPDATE: I found the “expand all” option in the menu which helps. However, the individual entries now take up so much screen space. It’s nice to have access to a lot of information in one view but would like to see it displayed a bit more compacted.

    I do also notice that so much of the screen has clickable information that sometimes the screen sort of gets stuck as I try to scroll—like it’s trying to determine if I might be trying to click on something. I found the blank area on the far left is the best area for smooth scrolling.

    I also recently had an issue where CarPlay was canceling my trips when I plugged in my phone. The Triplog tech support was super helpful and determined the solution was to set my CarPlay address as another Bluetooth connection.

    Overall I find this app to be pretty reliable and useful.

  • Current update crashes - fixed

    Normally this is a great app. The most current update crashes every time I try to start a new trip. I have to delete the app and reinstall to get it to work just one time. Then it crashes again. Putting this review up to hopefully get a quick response. I'll give a good review when it's fixed.

    Update: they fixed the bug quickly! I've been using this app for over a year and a half, and it is great! Thanks for fixing it so quickly!!!

  • A bug makes this app useless

    I have used TripLog for over a year and was very satisfied with the app, but a recent update to the app has rendered it useless. The app crashes constantly. I contacted customer support and although they responded quickly, they told me to use manual trip starting and stopping until the glitch is fixed. I am a freelancer who drives hundreds of miles per month and hope the problem is fixed soon.

    I will give TripLog a week to fix this problem, and if it still doesn't work I'm going to ask for a refund.

    I advise you to avoid this app until this problem is fixed.

    Here is the response I got from customer support:

    "Thank you for contacting TripLog customer service.

    This is due to a bug we are fixing right now.
    As a temporary fix, please open TripLog app > Menu > Settings > General Settings > Set 'Manual Start Trip Default' to 'Always Ask'.
    Then, when making a trip, please manually start by opening TripLog app > press the green play button > Manual Start > GPS Tracking. Don't forget to manually stop your trip when you have arrived at your destination!

    I apologize for the inconvenience and we should have the app working properly very soon. Would you like to bear with us for a short time until this is resolved, or you insist on a refund?

  • Works great! I love it.

    Great for autonomous tracking Has saved me money in the ease of tracking small business related trips like going down the road a few miles to the safety supply store and tracking it for me, while I was forgetting to start the log. I have it set up to start automatically when both there is GPS movement and it's connected to my Jeeps Bluetooth system. If you forget to log a trip entirely by forgetting to enable your GPS, no worries you can add a trip to the log and the mileage will adjust. It has a report log that can be emailed.

  • Constantly missing a TON of trips

    I have been using this app for almost 2 years and it used to be pretty decent. But the last 6 months to a year have been awful. The app is on, auto start is on, but doesn’t track! Today is April 25 and the last recorded mileage trip was April 19, I have had multiple trips in my vehicle since the 19th, and business miles that are YET AGAIN, LOST!!!!! It’s very frustrating because this continues to be an issue!

    Support has been good with responding but they never actually fix anything, they tell me to make sure this and that are set, which the settings they tell me to check, were already set that way, but issues continue. I’m tired of constantly losing business miles, I don’t have a ton the way it is and now I have even less recorded because the app continues to not work.

    I’ve contacted support, over and over again, emailed, and emailed, AND EMAILED, and yet nothing changes, miles, DAYS OF MILAGE, continue to NOT be tracked. I don’t have time to worry about whether or not it’s working, isn’t that supposed to be the point of this app?!?! So you don’t have to worry about it?!?! I’m done with losing business miles because of this app.
