This is exactly what you want. If you don't have a light meter in your standard kit, you should, but get this in the meantime. The built-in help is a fantastic introduction to how to use meters and scopes.

I just compared the meter to that of my Gossen Luna-Pro SBC and they matched perfectly.
As a cinematographer the FPS option makes things easy,
The GOSSEN is quicker, easier to see all options at all speeds and exposure comps etc....but it wasn't 5 dollars.
So far, very impressed.

Cool...
This is one handy tool. I'm not at the skill level where I can tell how accurate this is, but it certainly can help pick variations in a scene. Having this kind of thing on an iPhone is awesome.

Best application for cinematographers
About time that someone created such clever app to help cinematographers (and others) to meter exposure and other factors in the intricate world of digital filmaking. Simple to use, vey intuitive and accurate this is an essential app that everyone who is serious about digital shooting should have.
