## What is 5LA?

5LA is the campus carpooling app built for Omani university students. Whether you're driving to Sultan Qaboos University, UTAS, GUtech, MEC, MCBS, or Muscat University — 5LA connects you with classmates heading the same way.

FOR DRIVERS
Post a ride in under 60 seconds. Set your pickup area, campus drop-off, departure time, and available seats. When you complete a ride, you earn 3 credits and climb the leaderboard.

FOR STUDENTS
Browse available rides near you, filter by neighborhood or campus, and book a seat with one tap. Your phone number is never shared — all coordination happens in the built-in chat.

LIVE TRACKING
Watch your driver move toward you on the map in real time. Get an ETA before you even step outside, and track the full route to campus once you're in the car.

SAFETY FIRST
Every ride uses a unique 4-digit PIN. Your driver confirms your pickup by entering your PIN — no PIN, no ride. You can rate your driver after every trip, report issues directly in the app, and block any user instantly.

EARN & COMPETE
Passengers earn 1 credit per ride. Drivers earn 3. Credits build your rank on the campus-wide leaderboard — see where you stand among hundreds of fellow students.

BUILT-IN CHAT
Message your driver or passengers directly inside the app. No need to share WhatsApp or phone numbers. Chat is available for every ride and disappears after completion.

BILINGUAL
Full Arabic and English support with proper right-to-left layout. Switch languages any time from the app settings.

UNIVERSITY-VERIFIED
Registration requires a valid .edu.om university email address, so you always know you're riding with a real student.
