## What is 5thsFlow?

5thsFlow is an interactive Circle of Fifths built for musicians, songwriters, and producers who want to understand music theory — not just memorize it.

Tap any key on the wheel and instantly see its 7 diatonic chords, 7 modes, key signature, and relationships to every other key. Hear everything played back in real time with a warm, piano-style tone.

EXPLORE ANY KEY
• All 7 diatonic chords with Roman numerals, chord function, and quality
• Toggle between major and relative minor — see Am as i, F as VI, and so on
• 7 modes arpeggiated so you can hear their character: Dorian, Phrygian, Lydian, and more
• Key signature, scale degrees, relative minor, dominant, and subdominant at a glance
• Transpose up or down by semitone without losing your place

CHORD VOICINGS & EXTENSIONS
• Switch between Triad, 7th, Sus2, Sus4, and Add9 voicings for every chord
• Hear exactly how extensions change the feel of a chord — from open and suspended to rich and jazzy
• Borrowed chords from the parallel minor shown in every major key — modal interchange made visual and playable

BUILD PROGRESSIONS
• Add chords from any key into a sequencer
• Set your BPM, toggle loop mode, and play it back
• Save named progressions and reload them any time
• Works across keys — mix chords from different keys in one progression

FIND YOUR KEY
• Know your chords but not the key? Tap them in and matching keys appear instantly
• Or hold your phone up to an instrument — the mic detector listens and ranks the most likely keys by confidence in real time

SOUNDS GREAT
• Block or Strum chord playback style
• Play the classic I–IV–V–I progression or the i–VI–III–VII minor progression with one tap
• Haptic feedback that matches chord quality — major, minor, and diminished each feel different

Whether you're a beginner learning which chords go together or a working musician who needs a fast reference on stage, 5thsFlow is the fastest path from question to answer.

Designed for iPhone and iPad.

### 5/5 — Doesn’t work with headphones (UPDATE)

*2026-06-28*

Previous review: No sound comes out when Bluetooth headphones are used. When headphones are then disconnected, sound doesn’t work at all and the app has to be deleted and reinstalled.

UPDATE: The developer was very attentive to this issue and it seems like a fix is underway, thanks! Really enjoying this app so far.

**Developer response:** Thanks for reporting that. Although I couldn't replicate it with my AirPods, I was able to test on a pair of Soundcore bluetooth headphones and I was able to replicate your issue then. Sorry for that but I found the bug I believe and submitted an update to Apple already. Please keep an eye out for version 1.2 coming soon.
