  • It’ll scratch that itch, but the UI is miserable

The controls/UI are stunningly bad (looking at you road/rail placement tool) and there are some major quality of life issues such as the amount of effort it takes to replace your vehicle fleet, or the amount of menus you have to navigate to buy, place, and route vehicles, or how the see-through buildings/trees option still somehow manages to be difficult to see-through, or a hundred other issues that plague this port. Open Transport Tycoon on PC blows this version out of the water in comparison.

That being said, if you need your mobile fix of TTD, this is it. It’s definitely that sweet transportation management/planning action that you so desperately crave. For all my complaints, I’ve logged an absurd number of hours since downloading it last week. It doesn’t seem like the developer is interested in doing anything other than making sure this app is up to date with the latest iOS, so don’t expect any fixes for the issues. But you know you’re going to get it anyway.

  • Please update this game to iOS 12 and squash the other “bugs”.

Please update this game because it’s fun to play, this game reminds me of Chris Sawyer’s Locomotion but better. But I’m tired of working hard to get to lvl 70.0 and the game crashes and I had auto-save on but when I opened the game after the crash I was back at lvl 34.0 even though the game saved before it crashed also I had $15M before the crash and when I went back into the game I was at $0 and all of my vehicles were making $0/h then the game crashed once again. So can you please update this fun game. Thank you.

  • As good as the old PC game

I played Transport Tycoon on my PC for more hours than I care to admit back in my high school years... and I am rapidly catching up to that tally on my iPad!

The game brings the same graphics, gameplay and challenges though adds some newer vehicles (A380 or B777 anyone?) as well as some new scenarios.

No need to buy in-app additional content like most games today, this is a fantastic scenario builder which helps while away the hours on long flights or just for when you should be in bed sleeping :)

  • Horrible AI

The road vehicles get lost, the trains will only wait 30 seconds at a junction before reversing course and jamming up the tracks, boats take years to deliver cargo. Can not edit or clear roads unless built by you. PITA to edit your own roads or tracks. Only 4 angles or views available and are often obscured by buildings or trees. Can not make a custom scenario or choose beginning year. Limited choices on vehicles. Fun for about one hour until more complexity and efficiency is required.

  • Great Game But Has Flaws

Been a fan of TTD for a long time and this game definitely captures that overall feel. I could play this for hours but one flaw that sticks out is the horrible path-finding AI. I would set up a road path that connects three towns and it’s very straight-forward. I would have a bus that would touch each town, and it would appear it would go from the first to the second. I expect it to go to the third but instead it turned back to go back to the first town. Why would it do that, I don’t know. This always happens the first time around, which leads me to think that it’s orders that it’s following doesn’t get updated.

  • Very fun, but one small issue.

I love this game. It’s not just a poor quality adaptation, and it doesn’t beg you for money to unlock any features. However, there is no way to make your own scenario. This game was released in 2013, and the website still says that options other than just the preset scenarios would be possible in later updates. I don’t even need a map creator, I just want the ability to make scenarios

  • A train update needed

It is annoying to have only one train type in 1900 when there were numerous different types of trains out there including Pacific‘s to 2-8-0‘s 4-4-2s 4-6-0s 2-8-2s 1920’s is 4-8-4s 2-8-4s and I hate The rollingstock in America because only one is correct there supposed to be American rollingstock not British and British trains do not have the proper speed when it comes to the A3(100mph) and A4 126(mph) and no locomotives made by Oliver Bullied.

  • Good game

Keep updating the game so we can still play it in the future you need a whole USA map instead of three parts put out more trains and make it so that you can cross competitors track and let you delete in town roads when building a track and also make it go over time on roads when you are in the early 1900s you have dirt highways in the 20 s paved two lanes 50 s on interstates begin popping up

  • Super Terrific!

Without doubt THIS is my number one favoite game! I find NO glitches and, near perfect game play... Until I build about 40 trains or more. Then, it seems like I overload my old iPads memory and it start s to slow everything down. UNTIL then, PERFECTION! LOVE THIS GAME!
  • Fun, Addicting & Time Consuming

This is one of the best mobile transport sim-like games I’ve ever played. Though there are still some downsides, like not being able to delete a save; I can’t remove roads if they’re claimed by a town, even if I put the road there in the first place; not being able to delete roads of a competitor if they go bankrupt; the fact that I can’t build tracks across tracks built by a competitor; and probably the most annoying one, only having 1 bridge type that can go up and down. But other than that, its still a great game. I hope to see more updates to this in the future.
