Yes this gives you what you want at low cost. There are IAP so watch out for them but the pieces look good and the play is pitch able at your level. They supply just what they said they would.

Love this app. Great looking pieces and mood. A bit jerky on iPad 2 but perfect on 4. Didn't give 5 stars because I can only use the first three sets of pieces. Assume this is a bug? Or are there special instructions for getting the rest? Store says no more items to purchase. Pieces have a flashing arrow but don't seem to download.

It's a pretty good game. The detail is awesome and background settings are stunning. The movement of the pieces could be smoother, but otherwise a fun and enjoyable game! Easy for anyone to play with a setting so you can learn how to play proper chess, and optional movements. Awesome!!!
