I've been a fan of previous versions of Logoist and upgraded to 5 because I wanted access to VectorAI. However, you don't find out until you've installed it that it requires a Mac with an M chip.
The App store says 'Compatibility - Works on this iMac', but that's not the case. And I don't see any other info in the App Store telling me not to bother.

Everything indicated I could use the software and what lured me in was the new VectorAI feature. But once installed, and I click on the feature, I get a pop-up that says I need an M processor to use it. I'm running a 8-core i9 processor. I'm quite disappointed.jsoenke

I just purchased Logoist 5, and on launch, the first thing I did was click on the VectorAI tool. I was surprised and disappointed to see a warning dialog box pop up: 'Unfortunately, this device is not compatible with VectorAI. Minimum requirements: A Mac with an Apple M Chip, an iPhone 12, an iPad Air (4th Generation), iPad (10th Gen.), iPad mini (6th Gen.), or an iPad Pro (11" 4th Gen., 12,9" 5th Gen.) or later.' These limitations really should have been disclosed in the description (notably, they are not in the "Compatibility" section of the MAS page). I can't use this tool on either my Intel Mac Mini desktop or my 3rd-gen iPad Pro. What a bad first impression!Show lessTLMuse

I don't have a fast enough computer for VectorAI but I'm sure it's worth it! I have been a long-time customer and love all of the software put out by synium .

I have been using Logoist for nearly 8 years now and I was so familiar with the old version I was nervous to update it to the latest version. I am so glad I did update it as it has improved ten fold!
I run a Hotel and Fitness facility and have used Logoist for all my logos, marketing material and will continue to do so for many more years.
It is very easy to use and only takes half an hour to navigate your way around with ease.

Potential
I was definitely persuaded into buying Logoist 5 by it's 50% introductory offer.
I've used just about all the vector apps for work from Illustrator onwards.
Logoist 5 shows some great potential. Whilst I do not believe in 'clip-art' and even if you call it AI starting points, it's still a mashed up version of someone else's work.
However, I have to admit to using the 123-logo feature to at least give me a starting point and come up with some… 'oh, I'd not thought of that' options which can later be changed to put my spin on the design.
Logoist 5 feels like a butterfly of an app, just waiting to break out of its chrysalis. It feels in part very modern, slick and a real pleasure to use but then hits you with frankly vulgar, garish fairground treatments I'd rather not see on my screen thank you.
Love the multiple Art Boards so you can have iterations of styles and designs. Text scaling and manipulation can be non-intuitive when trying to manipulate new sections of text. The app wants to show individual letters rather than let you add or edit the actual text first, text sizing can also be less obvious than one would like.
On the whole Logoist 5 is good and should only get better. I'm going to stick with it for now and see what it can do. I like the fact it's a one-off payment and not a subscription unlike so many other apps. Good stuff; an interestingly individual take on creating graphics.Show lessscoobsoriginal
