MOST USELESS APP I HAVE EVER SEEN

Nothing wrong with my old etoken. Wanted to use it yesterday and was asked to reactivate again. I called customer service and they told me the app has been updated and needed to be reactivated. Well, the useless thing would not work. I was on the phone back and forth about 3 hrs and spoke to 4 customer service reps (nice and respectful people) but unfortunately, they couldn’t get the app to work. I have money in my account to give people for Xmas but unfortunately, GTB almost blocked this by their useless app. I had to resort to using other app to send money directly into my folks’ accounts. I am out of the country and as it stands now, I guess I’m done with Nigerian banks.

Invalid Token Error

Hi GTB,
It’s really annoying when you migrate us without notice from one functional platform to a dysfunctional one. My token was working perfectly until this compulsory update. Right now I am unable to transfer due to Invalid token error message. Please fix this or restore status quo.

Bad App

This was very bad update with this App, the previous version much better than this.
You guys need to upgrade this version or revert to previous one. Have not be able to make use of this since upgrade to the current version. It’s so difficult to generate the token. The generate button is not in operation .
Pls fix this ASAP.

Needs updating

I’ve used this app for a while and when it works it’s superb. Was very handy as I recently travelled overseas without the hard token and would have been a nightmare if it wasn’t working then. But alas it will appear the recent update has not been effective as the app now throws out errors and can’t get past the front page when attempting to login to the app. Hopefully the GTB tech gurus will look into this ASAP.

Update: - Appears to be working but note that if your email address has an unusual domain like mine does eg not a yahoo or gmail or Hotmail then it struggles to recognise your details. (Shouldn’t matter but it seems like it does) Eventually used my account number and it works.

Service is bad

GTbank is getting worst by day. Your e-Token app automatically remove log in and now requesting for a new authorization code, meaning that someone need to call your customer service again and bla bla bla. Make apps that works for people outside Nigeria.

Regressive upgrade

The user interface looks like it wasn’t tested on iOS. The button to generate OTP is buried behind the row of icons to close the app, settings etc. This makes it so tedious trying to locate a gap between the overlap to tap to generate the OTP. The app needs to go back to the drawing board!

T&Cs check box not clickable

Unable to get pass the welcome screen as the checkbox for your terms and conditions is not clickable. Waiting for weeks and hoped it’s gon get resolved but no damn headway.

E-Token Upgrade Failure

The upgrade on the app has stopped it from working and GTconnect cannot be reached for days now to send an activation code! Why can’t upgrades be integrated with the existing user information??? This is inconvenient for users to have to live in fear of upgrades and whilst I would normally recommend GT to diaspora Nigerians as the best for timely response, this has proved me wrong!

Version 3.0.1 is useless

The previous version was working fine for me. The latest update has the Generate OTP button on top of the menu links. Trying to activate the button activates the menu link instead. Fix this and you get a 5-star rating.

Awful experience

Horrible bank and app. You keep changing the app and logged me out several times with any option of logging back in.
