So happy to finally have some integration of iPhone —> Windows

I have an iPhone but Windows computer and have always felt like I was severely missing out on Airdrop with the Apple-only ecosystem. Link to Windows brings a lot of that functionality to Windows included seamlessly sharing files and sending texts which I love. With how much we text these days, I love using a keyboard to text quickly while I’m already sitting at my computer instead of picking up my phone and using two thumbs. Of course there some missing features still like group chats that would be nice but this is still a fantastic and seamless integration that I will be using a lot!

Frustrating

While the phone is connected to the computer and you receive a phone call and bluetooth is on both computer and phone. You answer the call on the computer. The earbuds connect to either the phone or the computer then nothing happens. Caller cannot hear you but the call was answered. You attempt to transfer the call to the computer and nothing happens. The caller still cannot hear you. It is like both phone Bluetooth and computer Bluetooth cancel each other out. I need to call the caller back every time. Trying to work solely from your computer without having to mess with your phone is impossible and frustrating. At least for me. The phone link works great when you turn the Bluetooth on your phone off but then the link doesn’t work on the computer. Lol!

Response from developer

Please make sure you are not using Bluetooth headsets or earbuds when making or receiving calls on your PC via Phone Link. Phone Link does not currently support relaying a phone call from your iPhone to a headset over Bluetooth. We recommend disconnecting Bluetooth headsets and or, using a wired headset instead.

Phone Link

Brutal!

Phone link is awesome

Great app. I enjoy it. Now I don’t have to miss another phone call or text message again while my phone is on silent.

It sort of works

It works for a subset of iMessage. Groups are not supported. You see individual incoming messages, not threads. You don’t see what you sent to others, only what others wrote to you. The app has a ways to go before it becomes useful.

Ok, but limited!

I wish it would behave similar to WhatsApp. Missing features such as populating Messages window with SMS that were exchanged while phone was not in Bluetooth range. Also, it doesn’t allow exchanging messages with groups of 3 or more.
Much room for improvement.

General

I’m enjoy using my computer to make and receive calls & text.

Great

This was very much needed. It works great!

Helps me greatly

I use this in place of my work cell phone which too often gets confused with my personal phone. I only wish that it could send pictures and files.

Good start, needs work

I like being able to see and send texts on my computer. But it needs improvement. Wish it would add the address book and let me choose which apps to get notifications from for example.
