Very tedious

The app has so much potential. I downloaded this app because mainly because of the stats feature. However, it’s a lot more manual than I expected.

You can’t see your watched stats unless you add a date which is disappointing.

Searching requires spelling out the full movie, actor, director etc. (lacks smart results if you misspell) would be nice to start seeing results “as you type” or autocorrect to speed up the experience.

Marking something as watched requires too many click actions. I wish it didn’t require adding something to the backlog first before you can mark it as watched.

Otherwise, the Design is perfectly simple. Hope to see some improvements!

TMDB 🤦🏻‍♂️

I love the app, but I’ve noticed with some movies the dates are wrong. According to TMDB, it’s the Blu-ray release date and not the theatrical release date for example, Unlawful Entry 24 Sep 2024, but the theatrical date was way back in 1992. Although this information is correct, the theatrical release date should take priority over any other dates. TMDB were unhelpful when I suggested the theatrical dates should be first over any other.

Needs better UX

You cannot select more than 1 movie for actions. So if you want to, say, mark 1,000 movies as 'Unwatched' you have to do it one at a time.
Also, none of the context menu actions have keyboard shortcuts. Poor.

Mostly good, room for improvement

Why I really like this app:
-Straightforward way to keep track of what you’ve watched or plan to watch;
- Mostly simple interface (see below for exception with TV shows), not overloaded with extraneous information or graphics;
- Free of social media.

Aspects that could be improved:
- Allow users to directly log a film or tv show as watched, without having to first add it to a backlog;
- Devise a cleaner way to log TV shows. My recommendation would be to log a show first at the general level, and then if the user wishes, to drill down in a separate page (after tapping on the main TV show poster image) to log seasons and individual episodes. Right now, it’s too cluttered when displaying entries for every single episode of a show — plus sometimes special features — all in one giant, scrollable list.

Beautiful app! Could use some UX improvements.

I love the fact that this app design wise fits right in with other Apple apps. I do think making it easier to rate, mark as watched, and move a movie into the watched list would improve the app a lot. I get confused when I make a list and put things in there they disappear from the backlog. I kinda wish they would stay in there and in the list I create. Over all I love it I just think making it more user friendly would help! Less menus!

Series episodes

Would it be possible to check previous episodes as « watched » with an « unknown date » ? There are series that I started watching before getting the app so it would be nice to be able to mark previously watched episodes so they wouldn’t show up in the « Next episodes » section.

Other than that, I really like the organization features of the app. It would be cool if we could organize the spaces into even more folders somehow. I have way too many spaces that I need to scroll through now.

Best movie and show app out there!

I like to religiously track many random things in my life. One of them being movies / tv shows. On top of tracking I like to see trends. This app tells you what actors, directors, genres, days you’ve watched, etc! I love love love this app! Not to mention I am super picky on the design of apps. I often buy apps and delete so much because I dont like the feel or look. I am super annoyingly picky. I also saw that they have book trackers as well as others. I am in heaven!

Almost

What really holds this app back is something I complained about from the beginning — searching for titles to add. It would be a huge benefit if results started to populate as you type your search. The Spaces stacks should offer at least two other designs that incorporate posters (though the default one is ok). I wish the movie Stacks showed watched/unwatched indicators instead of having to hide watched. For shows, oddly, you can’t seem to mark watched easily up to a certain episode, and I really don’t care for the whole “date watched” Activities thing. It makes me feel like I’m being incomplete adding something I watched in the past, but don’t know the date. When marking an episode as watched, maybe mid-season, that represents how far in I’ve watched, it doesn’t mark all episodes prior as watched. So I have to click every single episode in the “Next” widget. I’m totally boggled by this. So far it seems like the developers fixed the memory use bug, but the app is still not as good as it could be. Although very minimal and native looking, it has less than smooth areas of daily use. Also, the appearance of a $35 lifetime sub after already buying the app previously is concerning. I understand about costs associated with growth and expansion, but I wish there were a lifetime sub option for original customers that had a small discount. I’m glad to support further if the app improves.

Best movie tracker

I’ve been using this for a little over a year now. After trying and testing various apps this one consistently ticks all my boxes.

Really good but could be great

This is a great little app! I am excited to see what future versions bring.

A few of suggestions:
It would be great if you could import a watch history in bulk via a csv file. Also, it would be nice if shows were automatically removed from the the backlog folder once all of the episodes have been marked as watched. It would also be helpful if the last watch date could be viewed and edited directly from the main episode card.

Thanks for the great app!
