Truly excellent guide to the Big Island!
I enjoyed the descriptions and format so much it was an easy choice to subscribe for the additional content, such as adding locations to a daily planner. Every recommendation was spot on (and we ate SO MUCH great food on this trip because we knew where to go!) - I will definitely be using this again the next time we head to either Hawaii or Las Vegas.

We set up a section in our app called "Helping Maui" which gives users more information on where to donate, events and so on. Aloha and mahalo for your review. We are sorry you didn't find what you were looking for in our app. Sometimes going from book to app takes some getting used to. All of the information from our book is in our app, but our app has even more–way more, so it can make it tricky to find as it is in bits and pieces. For example "portuguese-man-of-war" is in the Basics section under Ocean Critters, in the book it's under Hazards also in the Basics chapter. We are working on a better search feature, but filters also help in the app. They sort of act like an index does in your book. Disappointed subscription is needed

Aloha, Mahalo for being a loyal fan. The info on the web was only changes to the book info and it's still there. No new info is listed there, though. We still offer all the where to stay info for free in our new app and many other items are also free in the new app, but not all info is free. Our new app is designed so you get the most up to date info and new items - like new places to eat, new things to see and do, surf forecasts daily, daily updates and emergency closures, etc. A trip planner you can share with your family/friends. You get many, many items not in our books due to space, like business hours, website links, new reviews and more details. All this does take time and effort of our staff, so we do charge a small fee for the app subscription per month. You may go with a book or an app or both, it's up to you. Mahalo and aloha

It's ideas like that that we can add to our list for updates. Remember we also have the survey you can take before you start planning to point you to your type of travel.
