Update is no good
It was way better before the update

Missing elements
When I first installed this app it was great. Play was smooth. Everything was open and easy to see. With the latest update bank cards are hidden and in order to see them you have to tap on the bank at the top of the page. The amounts of roads, houses, and cities are also hidden. You have to tap the down arrow under the player to see that also. And most annoying is all of my roads, settlements, and cities have disappeared, no where to be found. I have to count all my assists on the board to know what I have left to play with. Also most of the time my forward arrow to end my turn is missing so I have to wait for my time to run out before the game moves on. I wish the developers would stop tweeting this app thinking they are improving it when in reality they are not.

Addictive game
I love this game - there’s a new map every week on top of the standard one and it’s absolutely addictive. I highly recommend it - ignore the previous review, any time there is a bug they fix it within a few hours (this has only happened a couple of times and I’ve been playing about a year). It’s a great app and it’s always improving. 10/10

Better before the last update
The new update is no good at all. Please change back to your identity. Don’t make a me-too product like the settlers app.

Love the game, hate the update
Played colonist for a while and the new update is rough. Used to playing on horizontal mode and being forced to play vertically on my phone doesn’t feel the same. Game feels slower after the new update and it’s harder to differentiate scores.

Overall, I feel like the game was better before the updates. They tried to over complicate it and I liked the simpler format.

The new user interface
The new user interface in the latest update is horrible. I used to love playing on my ipad but with this new UI cannot track anything. plus everything is so slow and cant even see the names and all properly. plus I have to open the chat log and game log to see what’s happening instead of it just being on the screen on the side. uninstalled the app and playing on the website only. please revert the UI or at-least give an option to switch back to old UI. this update is horrible and confusing .

Bots always win
I’m not expecting to win all the time, but it’s guaranteed if you are playing bots that any numbers you have will stop being rolled once you take the lead. Also, robber placement needs some work for the bots. 7s also are very predictable. Anytime someone gains a settlement, city, longest road, or largest army, it rains 7’s! It’s a fun game to play but frustrating at the same time.

Landscape mode unavailable
So many issues with this app. The latest update doesn’t allow you to play in landscape, there are constant sizing/UX issues, the ads are intrusive, the list goes on. Please fix these issues before trying to charge people $25 a month for membership.
