Description of Book End

Book End is an app that helps you keep track of the books you're reading and generates reading statistics. Just like how a physical bookend holds up books on a shelf, this app helps you keep your books and reading organised. Book End allows you to easily scan, search and import books that you're reading into the app. Then when you open up your physical book, you can use Book End to start a reading session timer. When you're done reading, come back and finish the reading session and the app automatically generates personalised statistics. These statistics include things, such as accurate time remaining predictions per book, and unique statistics such as average pages read per hour. All together this app helps you stay on track and develop your reading habit.

This app cannot import books from other software, such as Calibre, nor can it add books through online search. Moreover, there are no statistics on reading. A five-star rating is an encouragement.

Hi there! Thanks so much for your review, One thing to keep in mind is while the app doesn’t work with any external software, when you add a new book, there should be an option to search the database online using Google Books. This allows you to easily import titles and start reading right away. Once you’ve started reading with a few sessions in the app, it then starts generating statistics for you, displayed on the Home tab. Great app. I highly recommend!
This app is very useful when I have to read my books for university, as it helps me keep track of how much reading I have left before my deadline. It also tell me how fast I’ve read the book. Very easy to use and good concept.
