  • It’s actually a pretty great game

And I don’t tend to write reviews. The puzzling is very sharp, lots going on which is nice. Very addicting. The graphics when working with the cars are top notch, definitely deserving of the Forza mark for sure. The complaints about “this level is impossible without spending money” etc, is all a bit unfair. The game gets hard. It has levels that are really really hard. I almost deleted the app. But they CAN be done! I stuck with it and am so happy I did. I’ve put probably about 12 or so hours into this thing and am halfway through my fourth car. Its just a good game. My one complaint, I do really wish there was more time spent with the cars (maybe manually disassembling components or something?) Or maybe a little viewing mode with a changeable backdrop or something. If ambition is not currently in a shortage, a simple walk mode with all completed cars present in the garage so you can marvel at your work so far. You get the idea though. Anyway, it’s a great game and a free one at that. Some of you folks out there have gotten soft man

Hi! Thanks for taking the time to write such a great review of Forza Customs. We've got great plans for the game and we'll make sure to keep your comments in mind when working on future updates. :) - Hutch
  • Very funny coming from FM and FH

Its absolutely hilarious how there are tons of different customization options for every single car in this game. Some of the same cars also being in other forza games but there is one key difference. In most of forzas other games you’re either limited to a body kit or MAYBE the one or two front and rear bumper kits or the infamous forza front aero and forza wing. But in this game there are more customization options than most games I've seen. Now why cant devs make car customization this good in their main games. Also the match 3 aspect of the game does not mix well with car customization in my personal opinion. Yes it probably satisfies someone out there but to me when i want to download a game to customize a car i don't want to have to go through puzzles to do so. Also the coloring system could've been better a color wheel would've sufficed instead of pre-picked colors we cant change. Nothing to change with the game just please forza devs shift your priorities.

  • GET RID OF LIVES

First, of all no this game is not by forza or playground games. Second, levels get extremely hard and aggravating, this has nothing to do with skill either its the fact that if you don’t have a win streak or you don’t use all your tools and power ups then basically it’s impossible until you get a lucky game and it gives you a battery next to a color wheel. Third, this Seriously bothers me the lives thing is sooo dumb who wants to play a game that tells you can’t play for 15 min, cause I won’t then. This game needs to not be so scripted either let us build multiple versions of each car or make where the spin for the style of vehicle that your going to build not be scripted. ex. Everyone gets drift for the mustang instead have it where we can build at least one more style of vehicle or let it actually be random. Other then that this game is really fun and super sick and I appreciate the fact that you are able to edit previously finished vehicles.

Hi! Each car can be tuned in a variety of different styles, each with a unique performance profile and component options. Currently, the style for each car is pre-determined and more will be added to the game as new Episodes are released. Thanks for your feedback! Energy mechanics aren't popular, however they are necessary to prolong the game's life and protect the economy. Remember you only lose lives when you lose levels. You can always use gold to purchase more lives, or watch an ad to get a free life. :) - Hutch
  • Needs work

Game is really fun until you get to the higher levels. Been stuck on the same car for like 2 weeks and honestly lost interest after that. Great concept but if you don’t buy power-ups you won’t progress any further. Been stuck on level 110 for at least 35 lives now and haven’t even come close once to completing it. Also, you might as well take out the coin bonuses you get per round. Unless you’re going to give a bigger bonus at the end or make everything you can buy with coins cheaper, they really serve no purpose. Also watching minute long ads and only getting 2 extra moves really doesn’t make sense at all. 2 extra moves is a joke. I’d understand if it was 15-30 second ads but they ads you have to watch are painfully long.
I have been a huge Forza fan my whole life and was so excited when I found this game but it has been very disappointing when it comes to gameplay.

  • I don’t do reviews but you’ve earned it

I think there is a lot about this game that is super enjoyable and fun. The idea of being able to build the cars with such solid graphics is awesome. I don’t know why it takes so many points to strip everything off the car in the first place but it’s fun. However after your 2nd or 3rd car the levels get unbearable due to their difficulty. If this was a skill issue I wouldn’t ever write this review but there is simply no way to complete level 110 without using every power up and extra life available. Also God forbid you watch an ad for an extra 2 moves because once you close out of the ad you will get the wheel of death until you close out of the app which just restarts you entirely.

  • Never Seen Bug

I’ve played matching games for years now just now a lot till this one. Bug issues and only one that I just ran into today is I had no matches at all along with cones and gears and physically couldn’t match anything at all so I let it sit for about 5min and nothing happens like a typical game would just auto shuffle of there are no matches are move one spot to show you there’s a match but still nothing is there a mechanic that is supposed to auto shuffle? If so it never did it for me I’m just confused because other than that this is better than all the other matching games I’ve played.

  • To fun= rigged

I like forza, it’s fun and enjoyable but this oh this stinks. First, I see so many potential it has but why a match the box type mobile game? Like do something new at this point because every other game has the same mechanic. Second, why can’t the cars be drivable? I mean I would be cool if you build, make and drive around with your friends or smt but noOOOOo they decided to just make us look at the car we made and not DRIVE IT!! THATS THE POINT OF FORZA MOTORSPORT/ HORIZON!!!!! I really think y’all are desperate for money at this point. The ONLY things I like about this game is the customization for the cars. Great amazing but dam it can I pls drive the car? Also, the levels are hard and to difficult to even progress through the game. And make so I can pay real money to finish the level. And that’s hard for me because I’m a free to play guy I only buy things that are useful or cool but not spend like upgrades for $50 bucks just drivable?

  • I’m very disappointed

Okay, I really like the concept of getting to custom design your own cars but what is the point of a game about cars if you don’t get to drive them? Especially when you are the one who designed those cars. That would be like finally getting something that you have wanted for a long time but then having somebody taking it from you and throwing it away. Plus why is there no engine customization? That is literally the main aspect of car tuning! I love the Forza franchise and I consider it one of the best if not the best racing franchises ever, but with that being said, this is not the game I thought it would be. And I don’t think I have to talk about the shape matching aspect since it has already been covered. I feel like Hutch games is one of the only companies that would be able to make a good car customization game but they screwed up so bad that I don’t think I can even call this a Forza game.(if I already reviewed then oops but this game is not what Forza is meant to be)

Hi! Thanks for taking the time to share your opinion with us. Forza Customs combines the best of car design with exciting match-3 levels. We've got other games like Rebel Racing where you can drive your cars if you're into that kind of experience. We are continuously working on improving the game and we'll keep your comments in mind. - Hutch
  • Well…

Look don’t get me wrong it’s a fun game right, I loved Forza for a long time now and I love puzzle games, best of both worlds and they did it great where you can customize cars and what not. But what isn’t so hot is a few things.

-after level 60 you’ll be stuck on a level for a few days up to a week. And it isn’t down to skill. A big issue is it rely on RNG to get a good color balance. Or your just screwed. And unless you by power ups your screwed. It really is unfair to the player to be in a situation where you have to make a non helpful match just to get the color to mix, to match, then to mix. It’s not a good sign to see it shuffle every other move because it’s just not set up well. When your in these levels you’ll go through all your lifes in 5 mins at most, then have to wait 3 and a half hours to get them all back. I’m not sure if this is fixable but it’s really making me want to stop playing. Maybe if the person is in this levels and takes them a few sets of lifes give them a random power up? Something to give us hope.

Hi there! We are thrilled to hear that you are enjoying the game, and we appreciate your feedback. We understand your frustration with the difficulty spike after level 60. We are constantly working on improving the game's balance and appreciate your suggestions for adding random power-ups to help players in challenging levels. Make sure to participate in events to get those breakers and gold rewards to make difficult levels easier! Thank you for your support. - Hutch
  • Cash Cow

The premise and the gameplay is great. However, making some levels nearly, if not absolutely impossible without boosters is kind of slimy. Just like Chrome Valley Customs, you will find yourself unable to progress past a certain point, and needing to purchase something. A better idea would be to give us unlimited moves, and give us points based on performance. Boosters then would not be a necessity, but rather a luxury. Could be a bronze, silver, gold ranking system. We get the most points to customize a car with the gold medal, and it works its way down. Overall, pretty good game, but the whole focus on microtransactions is getting pretty annoying these days.

Thanks for your feedback! Make sure to look after your winning streak and manage the freebies you get after completing projects to make progression easier by distributing your usage of breakers & boosters. We'll bring more ways to get an advantage during the harder levels as well as more cars very soon. Thanks again for the comments! :) - Hutch
