    I quit storage treasures a few months ago, left because of the higher premiums, you have to pay to see auctions that are over 300 miles away, you have to pay to bid over a $1000 on an auction, you have to pay to get the original 10% premium charge. Then if you happen to win an auction, you can’t make any money on it because you have to pay too much, NO THANKS. I’ve gone elsewhere, like most of the reviews I’ve just read

    I guess since I bought 1 or 2 storages a month, I’m no longer a serious bidder, I’ve was here a long time

  • Sign Up-Er Beware

    Right off the bat when signing up for an account, you’re asked to verify your identity by providing photo verification of yourself & a form of gov’t issued ID, along with the “option” (lol) to give away your ssn. Then your asked identifying questions as a follow up. If you have questions regarding this process you’re directed to a small blog post containing info about something named “identiflo”… which after googling returns very few matching results.. 1, of which also appears to be the most recent, from 2022 by a company that doesn’t even promote their “identiflo” system on their current webpage, instead boasting about a different ID verification system….Absolutely zero info is given on what safeguards “Storage Treasures” has in place to safeguard the info we’re expected to just hand over to them no questions asked.. is the info destroyed immediately? Is it stored on a server? If so, what kind of encryption is used to protect that server? In today’s age, these are all some of the most basic things a company asking for this info should readily put forth… You can sit there and snicker “oh he’s overreacting… what’s he trying to hide? Hmmmmm?” … & the answer is simply .. nothing at all.. blindly follow the interwebs all you want… just know that to the online criminal underworld.. your photo id, payment info, & possibly even your ssn!!?? Is basically the same as a crackhead who finds himself locked in the evidence holding room inside an empty police precinct…

  • Greedy company - not focused on enhancing user experience

    I was a pro member before their price changes. My premium was 10% because of that. Suddenly, without warning, I noticed that even though I am paying extra each month, the premium was being charged at 15%. What showed me they are greedy was that on a $10 unit, I was charged $10 in premium. For a $40 unit I was charged $10, and and for a $100 unit I was charged $15 in premium. Before I used to pay less with each unit. Besides that, the actual user experience has not improved in any way. If anything, the app and website fail more. Charging more for less is just greed.
    I went from buying 3-4 units a week to now buying 3-4 a month.

  • Long-Term Buyer

    My only complaint is that the unit size is not on the search. You have to individually click on each search item to see its size. On the website, this is given on each searched item. If this were fixed, it would be 5 stars.
  • Horrible app

    How this app/ company is still in business and running after 4 years is incredible you would think the app was thrown together yesterday. I finally just gave up, their cvs system claims my address doesn’t match billing. I couldn’t edit myself and had to have them do so took a total of 4 days to make it happen, almost non existent customer support. After they edited to my P.O. Box where i receive my mail and use every other app and auction sites same entries. The app flags it and it doesn’t match so much for bidding. I wonder how much business the storage unit sites are missing out on it has to be astronomical.

  • 566% increase in buyer premiums

    I have bought several storage units from this site. I bought one today and found out they made changes to buyer premiums. I purchased a $10 locker and was charged another $10 for the buyer premium. A fee of $10 for a locker that would not have sold at all just like a couple others that just ended and nobody purchased. It used to be 15% of the sale price, now it is 18% or $10, WHICHEVER is HIGHER, unless you want to buy a subscription. A $10 fee for a $10 locker is crazy when it used to only cost $1.50! That is an increase of 566%! That is pure greed! Total rip off for people who are occasional buyers especially considering how terrible the photos have been lately and how many of the lockers have been ran through and do not match the photos when you go to pick them up. They will offer you a refund but when you waste your personal time, rent a truck and purchase gas to drive 20-30 miles to a locker, only to find out the employees done went through everything, or the locker was listed at the wrong location, it is EXTREMELY irritating! Not to mention many of the facilities take junk and trash from who knows where and will just throw it all on the ground of a unit and sell it as if it belonged to someone. It’s always the same locations that do it so you cannot tell me it is legit. These locations do not ever list normal looking units they will ALWAYS consist of a bunch of random junk and trash thrown on the ground.

  • Buyers Beware!!!

    12 Year full time storage buyer here: Since going online instead of holding live local auctions, the storage facilities have started scamming buyers. They have a “no trash” policy, so instead of hiring a trash removal service to clean out trash and broken items left behind by tenants, they pack it into units and sell it as “storage lockers”. Most of the units now are tossed and picked through also by the facility employees who also are responsible for “staging” the lockers. This is encouraged by the storage companies to recover their losses by non-paying tenants. You can still find a decent locker here and there but beware because a lot of what you see will turn out to be broken or damaged goods. You have been warned.
