Why is it necessary to login almost every time I play. I also experience the glitch where you can’t move until you force close and restart.
This could be a much better game.

Hi BillMinnie, we just released a possible fix for the crash. If you update your version in the Apple Store you should be able to play a normal game again without interruptions. Kind regards, Wanted 5 Games.After having worked my way up to a 25 rank I took a break and hadn’t played for several days. Had to log back in to my account to play only to find my rank had dropped from a 25 to a 17. A lot of wasted time there. Not sure I will bother playing again.

Hi TheJman6558, this is an intentional feature that ensures that gives every season a fresh start. Unfortunately, this reset went wrong at the beginning of this season. Compared to other accounts that were reset, you actually had an unfair advantage. We have now resolved this, and that is why you have now been moved down a bit, just like the rest. Welcome to Stratego the game where if you have big balls you will loose to some 60 year old retired man who will go back and forth for 1hr rather than make a first move. However, it’s unfortunate that this game is basically unplayable in its current state. There is a bug that makes it so you can’t move your game pieces. Only way to fix is to close the app and reopen. But it only takes 4-5 moves before it happens again… The latest update notes CLAIM that this is fixed but it isn’t. The problem is incredibly persistent.
After 20 minutes of gameplay, I’m giving up on this app until new updates. It has potential, but seems to have been haphazardly put together after getting the rights to the game.
Developers, please work on this and fix! Until then… 2/5 stars.

We are very sorry for this and I can tell you that the whole team is working on only this issue at the moment. We fully understand this is frustrating and we do all we can to fix it. As soon as we have a new build we will update the app and hopefully everyone can play again without interruption... I have loved this game since childhood, and I currently play my grandsons regularly on the original board. The digital game creators have done a fantastic job replicating it! The graphics are awesome! The gameplay however could be greatly improved. Right now the only option is the original version, which often times equates to exchanging pieces and hoping you have that last 1 or 2 power piece to control the board. It also favors, albeit slightly, the non-aggressor. Other style’s of play should be added, shut as; attacker advantage ( where the attacker wins when the pieces are the same rank), and/or you get to choose a piece you lost when one of your pieces gets to the opponents back row (two per game). Either one of these simple improvements would make the game so much more dynamic. For those that prefer the original it would still be an option.

We will definitely take this into account for future releases and updates. Please note that you can already select a different game mode when you create a custom game. You can select 'Barrage' and have a version of Stratego with only 8 starting pieces. Hope you have fun with the game! I tried doing it again, but then my email was already in use, so i can’t register now.

Thanks in advance! I played the old version quite a bit, and was lost when it was discontinued. Good to see it back. I’ve only played a few games. It could use a few improvements. The play is a little slow and clunky. I don’t need all the animation when playing. The 5 minute run off was my biggest complaints of the old version and it’s back with this one. I did get disconnected from a game, but was able to log back in and finish.

Won’t play until this is fixed.
This game is fun, and reminds me of playing this game when I was a kid, but it crashes about every five minutes.
Also, I haven’t been able to sign in, and so my progress hasn’t been saved. It says it will send me a verification email, but it doesn’t. Yes I have checked my junk mail folder and I have waited a couple hours - still no email.

But playing the classic board game gets boring quickly.
Create new digital experiences:
- different maps
- random maps
- bots of different levels
Allow for permanent reveal of enemies
- stratego shouldn’t be a memory test.
- Make memory aspect optional so stratego can be 100% strategy!
- once you make memory optional, you can allow multiplayer games with 24 hour window to make next move. This is what many games do.
- memory aspects means you need 30 min to play nonstop game. Remove memory and now players can submit one move and make next move later. Much more flexible.
Also, your app doesn’t come up in App Store searches for “Stratego” bc you put that (R) on the end. Remove that R and watch your downloads go way up.
