Slowing down the match process

The app has introduced major difficulties in our matching process: content about au pairs does not load, especially video and photos; search is significantly more difficult than it was before; they completely eliminated the browser version of the app; chats and notifications do not go through or happen too late; video calls have yet to work.

Big disappointment when we are in a time of need.

Cultural Scare strikes out (again)

This company really does not deserve to be in business. Website unavailable for 4 days while they roll out a new website and this app - and neither are functional over a week later. Had a pre-existing account and still unable to even log in. Repeated calls to customer service have not resulted in a fix.

I could go on and on about how terrible they are as an agency, but even their terrible platform and this non-functional app is enough of a reason to avoid this agency entirely. We are switching to APIA - enough is enough.

Shame on you Cultural Care… you don’t deserve to be in business!!

Bring back a web experience

Replacing a functional website with a dysfunctional app was a terrible “upgrade”. Removing the option to use a website is unfair to hosting families and incoming au pairs. The app does not work. In any capacity. All “features” are awful and do not work. Matched au pairs are deleted and removed from profiles, new courses are required but inaccessible, the search feature is terrible (only showing au pairs that don’t even match timelines or needs). Overall a terrible experience. If it doesn’t fix quickly I don’t see how anyone can utilize this company for an au pair.

Garbage

Useless app and “upgrade “ to website. You’re wasting everyone’s valuable time. As soon as my time is up I will be switching companies. Your inconsiderate roll out of this useless piece of junk says it all. Plus we can’t use credit cards anymore?! It’s been 6 years and I will give nothing but the most awful recommendation because of what you’ve done to all of us this past week

Awful Experience

I started my application to host an au pair a week before the rollout of this new system, and I'm struggling with the app like everyone else. It's just full of bugs everywhere. I'm really frustrated and looking at other places for this service.

Very disappointing

The only positive is that there’s now an app. Needed more testing before going live.

I’m very disappointed that all our data needed to be entered again and that the message function isn’t working. Not a great start when you are trying to find a new au pair.

Amateurs

What a rookie mistake for the biggest au pair agency in the country to completely delete a functional website in order to hope that a new app would function properly. It feels like cultural care hired a bunch of high school kids to do this in their spare time. I have enabled the app for automatic updates but every time it does update nothing changes, as if the developers are not being paid for this. “I’m going to forward your complaint ticket,” is the only thing matching specialists have to say. 1800 number is unable to bypass the malfunctioning app, LCCs don’t know what to say and the support within the app is the most useless bot I’ve ever encountered. How many families will need to leave the program until they realize they can’t be amateurs when dealing with one of the biggest problems in the US (childcare)? 0 stars for user XP. 0 stars for customer service. Nobody (and no company) is irreplaceable.

Worst App I’ve Ever Experienced

I can’t say that anything is going right with this app. It is preventing me from matching, rematching, and has already made me lose the perfect au pair that we spent so much time interviewing! I called and told them that we pay $10,000 for this platform. And now they can’t even provide a platform that works, this app is causing me to switch companies and go with Au Pair In America or any other one with a better platform. This has been a horrible experience.

Not great - the website was better

The app shows me the old LCC for my area who was replaced 3 months ago. I cannot see any documents for my current au pair. I cannot reach out to any new au pairs even though my current au pair has decided not to extend. When I add an au pair to my favorites list, the screen turns gray as I scroll through. A lot of glitches that need to be ironed out so families can figure out childcare.

I have 2 children I would need an au pair for. The app is showing I have 2 children and that I won’t require childcare. Which makes no sense because I wouldn’t need an au pair then!

Awful. They did not user test this.

When time is critical (in either finding childcare or an au pair in rematch), cultural care has rolled out something unusable. As one review said, this isn’t just a few wonky bugs. I’ve taken various screen captures that I’m happy to send to developers. I can’t even do something as simple as plugging in an au pair’s cultural care number so I can pull up a profile. Or I have multiple screen shots where things don’t load, with “fail” on the image. Or my profile basically wipe out of pictures. Way to help me call another au pair agency.
