Host family nightmare

The new app and website app is HORRIBLE! Host family profiles are incomplete or contain inaccurate information. Au pair profiles are also incomplete. Asking host families or au pairs to re-create their profile again is a nightmare! Cultural Care clearly didn’t consider host families at all when developing this app. Requiring the au pair search in an abbreviated app view is NOT realistic. When searching for someone to join your family and care for your most precious children, this is NOT app appropriate!

Terrible execution. Big miss for CC despite all the hype.

Cultural Care is using their host families and Au Pairs as guinea pigs. Somebody needs to be fired for this app roll-out. Did anyone test this app or did you just force it out and pray for the best? Our family is extremely disappointed and very frustrated. Cultural Care basically replaced a fully functional website with a beta app that wasn't completely thought through. It would be one thing if the app was optional, but they entirely replaced their entire system so that everything is dependant on the app. Even their website is now the app on a computer monitor. They didn't even bother designing or integrating the app into a web interface, it's basically a vertical phone screen on a horizontal monitor. What a joke.

I can live with bugs because those can be fixed. A lot of what they have done here cannot be quickly fixed, it has to be rethought and redesigned. I wish they didn't take host families and Au Pairs along for this awful ride. I feel so bad for rematch Au Pairs, I can't believe what you're doing to them (CC knows what I'm talking about). I have a call with Au Pair Care tomorrow.

Terrible app

Hundreds of people depend on this service for childcare and work. This new app update required 3 days of a blackout period where no one had access to anything regarding cultural care. We were told a new app will be launching and it will be amazing.

This app is actually awful. I am not able to browse any au pairs. I have an au pair in rematch living with me and host families are unable to view her profile. She is stuck trying to find work, without access to anyone who can provide work. I am now entering week 5 without proper childcare and it has impacted both me and my husband’s ability to do our full time job.

This app launch is incredibly irresponsible. There should have been a lot more testing completed and a backup backend in case there were system issues. This is a total failure.

Lots of glitches and issues

Photos not uploading, hard to find relevant info on Au Pair. Previous version and website was much better.

Definite downgrade

Horrible change to the platform. Doesn’t let me see any candidates, shows outdated information and makes you re enter information. Basically has rendered their services useless to me

Filled with bugs and removed the best web search features

Cultural care said an app will make the search better. Instead they delivered a terrible app and at the same time redid their website to make it worse. A case study in how not to treat customers.

Profile Non-Migration

In anticipation of my upcoming busy season at work, I spent a considerable amount of time updating our host family profile last month. I opened the app and was prompted to redo a considerable portion of our host family profile. It is frustrating and disappointing to not only have wasted my time updating our profile last month, but now have to duplicate the effort in the middle of my work busy season. The “web to app” update comes on the heels of Cultural Care eliminating the option for Host Families to pay annual program fees via credit card. While paying program fees in full is an option for us, I use a specific credit card for all major purchases as the spend through that card helps me build airline status (very valuable to me in my line of work). Our family is disappointed.
