Clickbait & scare tactic headlines
Mixed in amongst some vaguely useful information are a lot of clickbait headlines (‘These Aussies could save….’ which only apply to one state) and disguised links to personal information grabbing advertisements.
Also a lot of ‘the sky is falling’ scare stories playing into seniors insecurity.
I’ve not seen one actual discount I could use yet.

Seniors Discount Club
I find the Seniors Discount Club app. really easy to use and very helpful. Thanks for the effort your team put into the app. and of course your daily newsletters. I really enjoy catching up with you and the daily reports.
Very helpful
This great app is very helpful for Australian seniors who are then kept up to date with financial and lifestyle topics. I give great credit to the volunteers who are behind the SDC ! Thanks so much.
Old Age is a Privilege
Being a senior is serious, sometimes scary, especially if you live alone or far from family, so it’s great to discover an amazing extended community spread across the country, whose members share your interests, your problems and (sometimes) laugh at your jokes. All you need to join is an internet-connected phone or pc and proof you are over 60 years old.
There is plenty to laugh about in the Seniors Discount Club.
Members post favourite jokes and riddles and the Games section has OzWord, Trivia, Sudoku, Solitaire and Bingo. And while you do these each day you can drink your tea or coffee in a free personalised mug emblazoned with the club motto reminding you that “Old Age is a Privilege ~ Not Given To All”.
So you want to know how to use your Senior Card? Look on the SDC app. You need advice about CentreLink or your Transport Authority? Check the SDC app or just ask any of the members online. You will find daily news on shopping specials, on sports and politics, on royalty and pets, on cooking and handicrafts, on health and environment — all tailored to “Australia’s wise and wonderful” over-60s.
I joined early in 2024 and can only find one fault: the SDC app is extremely addictive.

Very informative app
I find this app very informative for Seniors. The information is very helpful as it is diverse and covers many areas that Seniors require information about.
Very good
Love this app. It gives me so much information every single day. I also like seeing the fuel prices at a glance. Keeps me up to date on everything. Well done.
Newsletter
Love the newsletter so interesting and so much information thank u the whole team 🙏🙏😝
Basically an infomercial webpage.
Sounds great and there is some useful information but once you start “surfing” the app, you are directed to off-app sites that more often than not, request your email etc.
Then of course you will be flooded with emails.
All the usual dodgy “you really can’t live without this….” adds are scattered throughout the “app” and third party sites.
Try but don’t sign up is my advice.

Good App with handy information
Good App with lots of news and handy information. Unfortunately the fuel prices link on this app has not been working of late. Will be great if this issue can be fixed as this is very handy to find cheaper fuel when needed.
Seniors app
Easy to access and manage, lots of opportunity
