  • Best Game Ever

“Last War” is an engaging blend of survival horror and strategy set in a post-apocalyptic world ravaged by a zombie outbreak. The game combines intense, real-time combat with deep civilization-building elements, offering a unique experience for fans of both genres. Players must scavenge for resources, manage supplies, and fend off relentless waves of zombies while establishing and expanding a base of operations. The combat system is dynamic, with various weapons and zombie types adding complexity. The base-building aspect requires balancing community needs, planning defenses, and dealing with dynamic weather and day-night cycles. The game’s graphics are detailed and atmospheric, and its sound design enhances the tension with ambient noises and a haunting soundtrack. Multiplayer features allow for cooperative and competitive play, supported by regular updates and a responsive developer team. With high replayability due to procedural mission generation and adjustable difficulty, “Last War” is a standout title that offers a thrilling journey through the zombie apocalypse for both strategy enthusiasts and survival horror fans.

  • Fun at first….

This game was a lot of fun for about the first 3-4 weeks. After that it is relentless attacks from opponents which depletes your army and takes several days to rebuild (at my current level) all to be attacked again before your army can even be back to 50% strength. You open the app to find you were attacked again, whether it was multiple times the same day or several times throughout a week, for really nothing. Your opponent doesn’t receive any significant resources from these attacks. This takes away from daily tasks you can complete due to lack of personnel/army strength and honestly takes away from enjoying the game.

The only way to get away from this is if you’re willing to pay actual money in order to speed-up training and healing or for shields. This maybe the developers ploy to get someone willing to pay actual money.

The developer needs to significantly improve this aspect of game play other wise I’ll just delete the app.

Dear Commander, thank you for your review. We suggest that you may consider purchasing shields from alliance shop using alliance points, which you can earn from completing tasks and contributing to alliance frequently. We also recommend checking our Discord for gameplay guides and advise, hope these information will be helpful!
  • Any annoying world building section

Ditch the ‘world building’, boring monologues, dated art, just give me the actual game.
  • Great game with NO ADS!!

I started playing this a couple of weeks ago, very good game play and although the progress can be drastically accelerated by in-app purchases, it’s still possible to progress nicely without spending money. Most impressively there are NO ADS! Makes a very refreshing change.

Love the battles and tasks you do and how often they refresh. Also the characters are good and if you get in to the Alliance tasks you can really pick and choose who to us to suit your battle.

Best game I’ve played like this for some time.

  • Shockingly Bad

I rarely (If ever) leave reviews on here but for this game I had to. For starters, the gameplay was terrible. When I saw the ad, I knew this game would be a generic, click-bait, cheaply developed throwaway game, but it blew me away. Like I said, the gameplay was terrible. It was slow, laggy, convoluted and so clearly pay-to-win.

If I could leave less than 1 star, I would. Full disrespect to the game developers, as I feel you have created one of the worst games I have ever laid my eyes upon. You have contributed to the devaluation of the mobile game industry that has seen us go from timeless classics such as temple run and fruit ninja to garbage like this.

I hope your parents, your investors, and most importantly you, are collectively disappointed in what you have created. This game has truly tampered with my day and soured my afternoon.

  • I am a loser.

This game interested me because of the fun looking math based battle pictures, but in reality, they game has almost none of this. As somebody who has a serious gambling addiction, I ended up spending over $6,000 on this game, on the upgrades and chance based chest opening. I got sucked into this game, and I feel like I was mislead. Although it is my fault for spending the money, I do feel like the “gambling” aspect of this game is not well represented in the pictures. I have tried explaining my issues to case to the customer support, and have been callously told there is nothing they can do. I can’t even get partially refunded for the items that are still in my account. My wife considers this gambling, and due to my relapse (without telling her), I am now losing my wife, and have to move out of our house since it is in her name. My life is effectively in ruins due to this game. Wish I had known this was a P2W game, with paid chance based objects before I downloaded it. I am a loser.

  • Recommendations for Dev Team

Been playing this game for while now and I'm really enjoying it! Can compete against the "Pay to Win players" without spending a dime. Although they do have the advantage as they should. But it's fun and fair.

Some things a could recommend that I'd really like to see.

*Gifting* players are able to gift shields, speed ups, teleports to other alliance members.

Along with maybe gifting resources within the alliance as well. This creates a team building atmosphere and that allows everyone to grow together as a team.

It would definitely be fun to see happen and experience.

    *March speed ups*
It would be great to see March speed ups that players can keep in inventory just like Construction and Research and Training Speed ups. So far I believe the only way to actually speed up your march is by diamonds and doing all the actual research and upgrades, which can take awhile to complete. So March Speed ups would definitely come in handy for newer players who haven't yet completed all the research.

Overall this is a great game with lots of potential and I've been playing for several months and could see myself playing long term maybe even dropping a few bucks here and there as the game improves.

  • Suggestions

I love this game, been playing it daily for like 3 months now. But, it would be helpful to have a more detailed guide for events and how to score on them, or how to earn points.

Second, I’d love to see an improved way of allowing allowance communication. Such as setting markers on other war zones to teleport there such as in alliance VS events or capitol war. I would like to see notifications too about when arms race events start, capitol attack, alliance exercise, or at least allow alliance leaders to be able to send notifications via the app (maybe an optional feature).

Third, for terms of organization and entertainment it would be nice to be able to lift everything off your base at once to be able to rearrange. Otherwise, it’s too tedious to lift things one by one. It would be cool to see if we could see other bases and how they look, such as in our alliance members.

  • Skins

Been playing this game for a while now, level 22, a lot to do, good fun and world chat is good but every single skin that comes you HAVE to buy. The one currently available is $640 AUD!! That’s absolutely ridiculous and for jack all boost in stats. Should have an option to gain the required materials through some other way that isn’t pay. Even if it’s an insane grind. $640 for a skin is just ludicrous, you should be ashamed. Literally 2 weeks worth of rent. Money hungry goblins

  • Good game, but far too expensive

This game is generally quite fun and addictive. The annoyance is that it’s far too expensive, and you can really see the advantages that you get when spending boat loads of money on it.

Fun things that people will like such as HQ skins, costs you about £300-£400. That’s ridiculous! Far too expensive and the game really allows the big money spenders to take over the game. I think if a decent HQ skin costs around £50, that’s fair. At this point, a realistic number for how much you will have to put into the game to enjoy it properly would be around £10,000. That’s quite ridiculous and I think the developers and creators should really look into this as it’s taking the fun out of the game.

I’m happy with having to work hard to gather speed ups etc. I can deal with that, but at least to have something like a HQ skin and discounts here and there that are actually affordable.

It’s unfair to those in Europe especially, as the game is even more expensive for us, making it even less enjoyable for us.

Otherwise a good game, being let down by unreasonable prices and making it a ‘pay to play’ kind of game. If this issue is even slightly solved, I will be able to enjoy the game again.
