  • Dishonest Developer

Pretty hilarious that the developer had my review taken down several times when all of the things I mentioned were truthful like an inability to customize time ranges, seating options was a flaw and that it was just a bad Resy API wrapper. And when I called out that they were suiting up to make it a charged service got some bogus response from the developer "We pride ourselves on offering our tools to help you land reservations without a cost". Well that aged like milk and maybe the cherry on top is that some of their recent five star reviews are clearly just friends of the developer trying to prop up their rating because the reviews came in when the app was down for over a week (ever heard of rollbacks or reliable deployment strategies?)

  • Used to be good, new paywall is ridiculous

Used the older version of the app and enjoyed it. New version makes it mandatory to pay to do anything. You can’t even see live reservation options. Deleting the app
  • App has been gutted—wants you to pay for a feature that is free elsewhere

You can’t even see live reservation availability anymore, which is what made this app different. They want you to pay an absurd amount for an “Alert” feature that is available for free on platforms like Resy—which is where restaurants post their reservations in the first place.
  • Paid Model is Ridiculous

This app is literally charging per month just to aggregate reservations notifications from Resy. What is the service they are providing? You still have to immediately grab the reservation and complete it yourself. After marketing themselves as a free tool “by foodies for foodies,” this blatant money grab is gross.

  • This app breaks ALL THE TIME

Unbelievable that they are charging users $6 a month for an app that breaks every other dag
  • Paywall

Was great, not worth a paywall
  • Best App Ever!

This app is amazing and has gotten me so many reservations at places I’ve been trying to go to forever! The developers of this know exactly what they’re doing!
  • O/U 1.5 months before becomes paid

Feels inevitable that this app is about to start charging - already the guise of this referral based nonsense. Unfortunately for them, once they move to that paid status, people will probably be less willing to put up with things that we were looking over when it was free: not able specify the type of seating the alert is for, not being able to specify time ranges. Was always a kinda lazy bad Resy API wrapper, but soon enough it'll be a paid lazy bad Resy API wrapper.

*Update - developer had some bogus reply to the original review about "taking pride in offering the app for no cost", a reply which is obviously gone now because almost exactly 1.5 months to the day from my original review, notification of the app moving to a subscription system

  • Was a great app, but like all good things it never lasts

This app was fantastic, but with the proposal to charge $7 a month I think that’s where I’m out.

Thats more than 1password, and many other apps I use. I understand developers have to make money, but this is some absurd pricing. You're better off buying a reservation online for this kinda price.
  • Switching to paid model

Just received a notification that the app will start charging for use in August. It works fine enough but it’s not anything special to warrant a monthly fee.
