  • Confusing

Great game concept but very confusing, I’m constantly reading and rereading just to figure out how something works and then sometimes I still don’t know how it works.

  • Unlike Any Idle Game

This game was a bit confusing to start and a lot of reading but after understanding more of the mechanics and how things work I am completely hooked. Well worth the money and you can tell a lot of thought and care has gone into this game. I’ve spent years playing random clicker idle games with supply chain mechanics and this is easily my favorite one. Thank you!

  • Best Idle Game I’ve played

I can’t stand idle games that are powered by ads or purchases. This is a well-balanced idle game without any of that.
  • RNG and time based

RNG is broken. I send 50 troops to a castle vs 8 defenders. I lost all my soldiers and only killed 2. Sure… Waiting several hours for ships to get to an island supposedly close by… There were more things that bothered me, but I wont waste more of my time. I submitted for a refund.

“Enjoy the game in a relaxed manner”

    “Halved enemy camp size”

Absurdly high timers and no change to camp sizes on easier settings make it difficult to take you seriously with your patronizing response.

All I play are idle and city/colony builders. I have 4700 hours on steam in Rimworld. 3600 hours on Prosperity. That isn’t the problem.

The problem is 20 mins into the game your tutorial has me locate an island. 3 irl hours away? That is reasonable? Then sending 70 troops after the 2 early researches, they all die to 12 tier 1 troops? I have to play another who knows how long to get the townsmen additional 10?

    Your game needs balance. Desperately.

Hey, I can understand that idle games are not everybodys taste, but they are per design played over multiple short session alongside a day and not at once, therefore there are waiting times in the game. Those are optimized to give good progress and to have fun as it is a paid game. Moreover the battle system is more complex that it might look as there are some rock-scissor-paper mechanics, so winning only by number don't work all the time. Nevertheless you can't argue about taste, so a refund might be the right choice for you. Best wishes, Tobias -------------------------------- Hey again! I don't want you to get me wrong, but the feedback of other players is consistently good and they tell me, that the game is really well balanced. Therefore I think your expectations are different to what my game offers. Therefore my response, that it might not the right game for you as I didn't had the feeling, that you want me to help you. I didn't played your mentioned games, but probably they are different to my game, as I really designed the idle core to be enforced by the game. It's meant to be played only a few times a day and not at once. While away the game continue to produce goods, so you can continue playing with full storages. It is normal to get to the point, where you can't do anything but wait and then the game is intended to be put away and checked again later. Therefore ship timers are around 1-2h (for travelling, discoveries will take way longer later in the game) and the overall production is slowed down, to achieve a relaxed game to be played alongside the day. The overall progress is also slow as the game can be completed in around 6 weeks playing regularly. I assume that your mentioned fight is against the warchief with the fish, which you find on islands of the size 14. It has a special mechanic to deal splash damage with first strike, so choosing the wrong units will get them killed without being able to retaliate. When clicking the enemy icons, you can read more about the abilities of the units. You can send 100 archers against those boss, but won't be able to beat him, as you need a combination of units. With squires/footsoldiers plus archers, you're even able to beat him with only 50 units, without the need for the research of a larger army. I'm glad to help with upcoming questions and if you want to revoke your refund and start playing again, you can also write me at tobias@paragonpioneers.com or join the Discord to get more insights about the game. • Solid management sim

This is a very good game. It’s similar but definitely distinct from other town building simulators, with time tested elements like adjacency bonuses, micromanaging scarce resources, trade mechanics, and very satisfying expansion potential. These mechanics are well thought out, short term and long. The difficulty level and unlock progression are both handled pretty well. I play on the default difficulty and I’ve been challenged but not frustrated, but there are other options to suit everyone’s taste. It does play out a bit slower than what I originally wanted, but that’s become a feature that I enjoy rather than a drawback. The lack of bonus currencies or ads really helps to alleviate the mild sting of seeing an hours long timer on an action, especially since those actions are usually of fairly minor significance. You can still consistently play at a very active pace if that’s what you want.

My extremely minor critiques mostly concern the occasional spelling error, which feel especially out of place given how polished the rest of the game feels. Aside from that there’s not much to complain about, I am satisfied and pleased with this mobile game which is a rare sensation.

  • Even better than before

Played the first one. Now this is the sequel. Wow! Everything is nicer, a bit more depth, one more option. Love it. Well done sir!

  • Fantastic Game

I’ve played the original and was among the first alpha testers of the sequel. I love this series, and this game – it’s a fantastic way to kill small blocks of time throughout the day or an hour or two in one sitting, planning out large resource networks, organizing trade hubs, laying out large island designs, etc.

More than worth the small price tag.

  • Fantastic ‘Anno’-like Mobile builder

It has all the things people love about civ builders on mobile, without any of the nasty trappings to include micro-transactions, gatchas, or (negative) multiplayer experiences to force play.

Clever building placement, production, and logistics are required to progress in a gentle and steady pace. There’s a ton to unlock and explore, but it comes steadily enough it’s not overwhelming.

Additional benefits like advanced/improved buildings and ships give you opportunities to optimize layout and trade routes to speed up progression, which is compelling. Routes can be automated and the game can run itself until you have time to dive in again and make improvements to your island empire. There’s always something to tweak or replan to inch out more production to unlock the next tier, or get to the (next) game completion.

Has been a treat to play and get into for many hours, one of the best building strategy games that has depth, requires thought to optimize, and wonderfully doesn’t turn psychological screws on you to get you to spend cash. I’ve enjoyed it quite a bit. Most Recommended!

  • The best city builder by miles…

Hands down massive cudos to the developer, this game is 95% perfect. Casual gameplay, does not punish you for not paying attention. Full resource gain when not playing game. Easy production system to get in to, huge in scale. Free to try, one time premium purchase. Love the save file export/import system. No internet required. I love this game! Want the final 5% though? My suggestions all involve changing city layouts.

    1. If i move my well to the block my warehouse is at Id like them to swap positions instead of blowing up the offending building as it does now.
    2. I’d like to move multiple things around while in the move building menu. Right now you move one thing at a time.
    3. A storage system letting me store every building on the island and place them all out how I want.

Again, those three suggestions aside, this game rocks!
