I didn't find the app worth 10 dollars.
While it is true that the app provides an additional level of access to the hidden powers of the R4, I haven't found the additional functionality particularly useful in my daily travels. I was able to configure the R4 using the under provided setup tool and for my purposes, it has worked well without the need for this app. Perhaps if the app worked with CarPlay, there would be a good reason to use it. If the app was five dollars, it would have seemed much more in line with what it seems to offer. I'll keep it and tinker every now and again to see if it ends up offering more benefit than I have found so far, too.Show lessRyuk-1

Hi Ryuk, Sorry you haven't found all the value you are looking for. You will continue to get value add with all of the free updates that come out on a regular basis. Once you have purchased the app you get free updates for life. For example, the next update 1.02 will have the ability to customize over 35 of the detectors internal settings via the app. 1.02 will also feature over 8 new features/improvements. Many of our customers find it very worth the initial price, given the price also includes a lifetime of free updates. Many customers let us know what feature(s) they would like to see by writing us at https://crackedpixel.com/contact-us . We then prioritize and implement the features requested in upcoming releases. The app does work with CarPlay (announcements, audio ducking etc.). It just does not have a CarPlay specific app because of the restrictions Apple puts on such apps. As soon as Apple allows it, rest assured this app will support it as well. Please drop us a line and let us know what features you want to see to make it more worth your purchase and we will get it into a future update. Hopefully once you have more time with the app, and its future updates, you will find it worth the money, and update your review. Thanks!Wow!
Very impressed with the R4 companion app. Initial release was very polished and I encountered no issues! My rides have become much quieter with K band falses. I was also able to increase the sensitivity on my detector confidently knowing the companion app would help filter out those dang Hondas haha. Excited to see if any new features come out!Show lessTommy6312
