If you've redeemed a promo code, it effectively gives you bonus Roamless credits (free $) for you to use for mobile data and/or call time.
Once you finish your free credits, you can add funds if you want. So with a promo code you do get free data to use, no fine-print, no strings attached.

Thank you for your review. Roamless works differently than the typical eSIM marketplace.
It works in any country (within coverage) using the same global eSIM and the same account balance, where you only pay for the data you use (priced at the KB level). There are no data plans you buy (and waste if not used) and there are no expirations on the $ in your account.
If you go on a 10 day drip across 3 countries in Europe for instance, and use the typical 400-500MB of mobile data per day, your 5-day multi country trip costs you around $11.00 USD. On a traditional eSIM marketplace, you would have to download an eSIM for each country, buy a 3GB plan for each country at $6.00-$10.00 per plan and end up spending anywhere between $18.00 to $30.00 for the same trip (making Roamless 50% to 66% cheaper :))
In addition, Roamless works on multiple operators without coverage issues; it's an "always connected" solution in that regard.
Having said all of this, we are always working towards expanding our network, and making out rates more affordable for our users. In 3-4 months time, we will be live in 150+ countries (still single eSIM) and will continuously work on keep improving our prices for our users.
