. AI artwork.
Now this may seem trivial to you but this is the problem with AI. This has taken the job of an artist who would create a better overall image because it was made by a human or with the vision of one. AI used in the way this game has is just an excuse to save money. They put paywalls in their games for crucial elements to the game if you want to play deeper. So they care about profits and savings, not about delivering a good quality product.
The manager series by this company all share very similar mechanics and to an extent I can understand it and almost enjoy it. If it weren’t for these matters I’ve mentioned.
I cannot in good faith support companies with this attitude. I’ve been learning 3D modelling and as someone who eventually wants to branch into the industry financially, it’s disheartening to see you not only have to compete with fellow artists (who are rightfully there on merit) but we have to compete with AI which is free.
Soon the artist will be paid to just touch up issues the AI made.

Hi Matt, yes - we have used AI within our icons and our team are working with an in-house designer to do an upgrade on those. We hope to make them more themed, consistent and original :)
Good, but could be better
The user interface could use a bit of work too. For example, you can buy storage units directly from the units shop page but production units require you to press details first. Showing Coming Soon items in the store doesn’t make sense either, all that does is clog up the interface. The units are also very difficult to click when they are close together. I have a wind turbine near an oil plant and I can’t click the oil plant unless I zoom in.
It also doesn’t make much sense that you have to store the power before selling it. Why can’t you set a unit to sell directly to the grid. It would also make sense for units to automatically reactivate when it’s storage source finishes discharging or switch to selling direct to the grid when storage is full. In order to make the most money you would want to charge your storage when power is cheap and sell when high and manage fossil fuels carefully meaning that there is still gameplay and planning, but it would also mean that if you wanted to be lazy, you could still do stuff.
It would also make sense to charge more building fees the farther away your production is from your storage.
