  • Terrible App

UPDATE: They are still disfunctional as the phones are so glitchy. And I dtill cannot regain account access since my last rating a year ago. Unbelievable!
Unprofessional Customer Service is from Philippines and they hang on you multiple times, also the automated system going to disputes has no one there and will tell you goodbye. Disputing on the app also doesnt work! Unbelievable how technically behind they are. Can’t even get a dispute processed on here or their website. Waste of time. Im looking for a good service to pay for in monitoring my credit and giving liability protection. Transunion and Experian won't get my business though Experian is much better than Transunion. My wife bought experian full service protection and the protection was useless when a fraud occurred. My wife had to file CFPB three times because Transunion kept lying that the account opened was not Fraud. They believed BofA, worst corrupt bank.

  • Don’t waste your time

To be honest this was recommended to me and I shouldn’t have listened. If you are having trouble logging in Customer service is useless and their text support is just as bad, they just keep giving you links to try which is the same thing you tried before contacting them! Can’t even get in now because they locked me out but hey they don’t mind taking $30 out my account every two weeks! I tried to cancel the account but all I get is the run around. Told my bank I no longer authorize them to take said amount but somehow TransUnion finds a away to take it! I just want my account canceled and to stop being ripped off but no I keep getting screwed over!

  • App could use some help

Recent update that I was forced to install leaves me frustrated when using on my iPad. I use my iPad like a laptop so it’s always sitting in a keyboard in landscape mode. But the recent update doesn’t display correctly in landscape mode, so I have to pick the iPad up out of the keyboard, and rotate it 90° in order to use the app. It’s stupid when they do this. How many people hold an iPad like their phone? Inquiring minds wanna know.

It’s amazing when you pay a monthly subscription fee to an app service and they are too lazy to write the app so that it properly works on an iPad in landscape mode.

  • Most Dumb App Ever and waste of money!!

This is probably the most dumbest iPhone App ever. I just stop using as I changed my password by with new one and pop up window says ‘Password Successfully Changed” and immediately doesn’t work. I had to call the customer service and they tell me I am locked out. NO DUH!!! Newly update password work for few log ins but then It stop working and do the whole process again. I screenshot my my password so how does it manage to not work? Just so dumb dumb dumb app.

I just read reviews for other users and they are saying the same stuff. Log in info is not working and the same issue.

How does this app get so high review? This is highly a complete please let them know she is Korean!!😁

  • Lock or Unlock

When you lock your report, it doesn’t notify you if it unlocked or locked. The representative I spoke with on the phone the other day tested it by unlocking and it didn’t send me any notification that the report was unlocked. You can’t sign up to be notified if or when your credit report is requested by someone. There are many things that could be fixed here.

  • App won’t allow me to access all features

I just spent almost an hour talking with three different people about having trouble. Pulling my actual report. I can login. I can check to see if my credit is locked. When I had to check report icon. It kicks me back to my home screen. This has happened for 3+ days. I am going to cancel my membership after this review. I’m hitting send now and then I will be calling to cancel my membership after many years. I’m very very disappointed. I will stay with the other two credit, bureaus, apps, and pay for them because I’m able to see what I want and I don’t want to pay for something that I am unable to obtain, which I am doing as a member ship holder.

  • Login issues

This is a very poorly designed app/ website. While creating an account, it accepts passwords that are very long. During subsequent logins, it only accepts 15 characters - so you can’t type in the entire password!

I have reset my password - here’s the rub: I’ve tried resetting my password 7 times today - I was able to login with each of them using the browser - but the app would always fail stating the password was incorrect!

I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling the iOS app 3 times today - no luck. Wonder how messed up the system needs to be, that they haven’t even identified/ fixed such basic issues. And these clowns hold the keys to our financial security!!

  • Cant log in

I try to log in one time and the app tells me to many log in attempts. So I called to fix it which took 15 min just to give then all of my personal information before anything was done. Then they tell me their system is down and call back. Then i wait 3 days and it let me log in. Then I log in the next day 1 time and it says to many log in attempts again. Dont use the face id because it will tell you the password is wrong and lock you out every time. My password never changed and is saved to my phone. Only on this app for a week definitely not worth the $30. Go with Experian. Experian works flawlessly. I also have lifelock too. LL doesn’t have much on it but it works. I wouldn’t pay 1$ for this app because it doesn't work

  • Timeliness of Updates

TransUnion is exceedingly slow updating my accounts. I refinanced my mortgage 6 weeks ago; the old loan has been repaid and closed on the Experian site since two Weeks after the refinance. TransUnion has had both loans outstanding on my account for 3 or 4 weeks and still maintains both loans. So my outstanding debt appears to be twice what the actual amount is. I would love to see the account balances updated timely. Another week has passed and still no update.

That review was written two years ago.

Since then, TransUnion is perennially slow updating balances compared to other credit reporting agencies, and when the credit score changes on the site, there are no explanations.

If one inquires about reasons for the score, the generic explanations from a template don’t make sense. My credit score on the other credit reporting site has been 850 for a long time, and it’s been much lower than that on TransUnion (832) for a similar amount of time. The explanation is that there are too many accounts with balances. I pay my credit cards in full every month, except for any amounts that are pending and get posted the night the statement period closes, which provides no time to get them paid before the statement cutoff (usually less than $100, but sometimes more). Clearly not a reason for a lower score. TransUnion is a palpably worse credit reporting site than the other one.

  • Beware!

This is honestly the worst service I think I’ve ever been part of.. I ordered the monitoring service and after ordering they gave me the option to have all 3 bureaus so I did for another $29 the problem is the double charged me for this and then they still didn’t give me all 3.

I’ve called 5 times and their overseas call center people must be coached to hang up if you are a easy solution because I’m not kidding you everyone of them hang up.. some are pretty good at making seem like it’s by accident but most are not..

I definitely not recommend their service.. stay away! Experian is a better option.
