  • Good luck with small insects

Some fire ant sized insect fell on me from AC vent; it was dark red with some coloration on the body. took pictures on white counters. Pictures too blurry for ID

Try to take picture inside app, no zoom. How can an app id a 1/4” object with no zoom?

Good thing this app has 3-day trial. Deleting and canceling

  • Changed identity of bug with each picture

I got this to figure out what’s in my shower that keeps popping up, I took three pictures of the same bug one after another and got three different result. Now this would be acceptable if the app says it wasn’t sure but with each try it had it listed as over 90% accuracy. With one bug, and three completely different guesses, they can’t all be 90-95% accuracy. It just gave me 3 different small brown bugs. I already knew that. The first one it said was “ant” I know that a freaking ant looks like, it was not an ant. Useless for my needs

  • Completely useless.

    This app is completely useless!
I took a picture of a common beetle & it states it’s a dangerous spider. Lol

  • This app is LIT!

Super easy to use and helps me ID bugs FAST. I can save my finds in collections—perfect for my bio class and hiking adventures. Love how it tells me if bugs are harmless. Deets on insects make this app LIT!
  • Perfect tool for entomologists! 🐞

As an entomology student, Bug ID really makes it easier to complete my tasks! The identification is very accurate, and the descriptions are useful even for me. I also like the collections feature; it's very convenient to save insects from different places that I need to explore.
  • LIFE-SAVER❤️

You don’t even know how stressed I was before getting this app😫
I live in an area with a rich insect life, which really freaks me out as a pet owner. I’m always scared my cat may be in danger because of an accidentally swallowed spider or god forbid any toxic bug. That’s why I needed an app that would help me identify bugs 100% accurately and tell me if they’re cat safe. 😊🤌
Thanks to Bug ID, I don’t have to spend hours on google trying to match the bug I saw in the kitchen with the photos on the internet. This app tells me all I need to know about the insects around me, which I’m 100% satisfied with🔝🔝🔝

  • Teaches how to coexist with insects

I recently moved to a house not far from the forest. Unfortunately, along with the fresh air and bird songs, my house also got filled with insects. I don’t feel good about killing them, so my friend advised me to download an app that identifies insects and even tells if they benefit people. I’ve lived for 30 years and didn’t know that insects can be good for people lol. I downloaded a few apps, and honestly, Bug ID is my favorite. The insect descriptions are really detailed, covering everything you might want to know. I especially like that the app indicates whether each insect is harmful to people, animals, plants, or other insects. For instance, I found a frightening and ugly (sorry) centipede, and it turned out it’s very useful for a house because it eats mosquitoes. Now, I look at it and comfort myself that it’s good, and it doesn’t look so bad anymore. So, the app is great! I recommend it to everyone who is looking for a way to coexist with insects!

  • Insect encyclopedia

My child needed to make a project about insects, which was quite challenging for me since I'm afraid of insects and know very little about them. Another mom from school suggested trying the Bug ID app, as it not only identifies insects but also provides detailed information about them. The biggest advantage of the app is its clear and user-friendly interface. I used it to identify a few insects in our yard with my son, and then he was able to finish the task on his own. The insect descriptions are incredibly thorough, resembling a real encyclopedia. They cover everything from appearance and distribution to their impact on other organisms. This app has been a true blessing for us!

  • Great for nature explorers!

I've been using Bug ID for some time now, and it's pretty great. The app is a breeze to use, making it a snap to identify any insect I find. It’s very convenient to store my discoveries in collections, which is perfect for my entomology studies and research. But even if you’re not that into bugs, I think it’ll come in handy for anyone who has a garden or just worried if any insect can be harmful or dangerous. So yeah, I recommend it for anyone interested in entomology like me or just curious about the creepy crawlies around them!
