If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. This new app is not great. The old app was much more accessible. This one always crashes.

Impossible to find anything!

Please bring the old app back! Or at least make this app make more sense! I think it’s cool to advertise the “Library of Things” because I’m sure not many people knew it even existed. Unfortunately, that’s the only nice thing I have to say about this app. It’s incredibly difficult to navigate and so frustrating. Gail Borden serves an enormous amount of people and the people deserve an app that makes them want to use library resources and this app ain’t it

Poor execution

The previous app was WAY better to navigate than this one. I was trying to pull up my library card to take out some books and wasn’t able to because the app asked to search for a library even though it’s the main app for Gail Borden. Please fix this app right away because it’s horrible.

Step Backwards

This application is unfortunately a step in the wrong direction. There’s a loading screen when the app opens for some reason, and overall it’s just inefficient and slow. The library card functionality also forces you into landscape mode which just doesn’t make any logical sense from a user friendliness perspective. Overall, it seems like decisions were made without any thought as to if they were useful or warranted.

App crashes

Anytime I open the app or go to my holds it automatically kicks me off the app. This is the worst app.

Increase size of barcode number

Please increase the size of the library card barcode number. When picking up at the window and showing them the code on your phone, they won't be able to see it because it's so small.

New app is hard to navigate

In the previous version of the app, it was straightforward to navigate through the various services offered by the library.

Wasn't ready for production

Takes too long to load. Prompts me to enable notifications each time I open it with no way to turn it off for good. Auto-selects every single browse category and it's a pain to deselect them because of the way the screen reloads each time. I have a linked card on my account and I can't tell it from my own card. The old app was much better.

I am disappointed that you did not like the new app. The latest version 24.06.01 has solved the notification popup issue. I will ask the developers about a solution for the screen reloading after each browse category is toggled off. I agree the experience could be better. When accounts are linked the account is identified with each item: Title, Author, Format, On Hold For/Checked Out To. You can also sort the holds lists by library account so the items are grouped together. How would you prefer to identify the different items? One of the reasons we choose this new app and catalog is because they are more customizable so we can make changes based on community feedback.
