Overall:
Gameseven is a well-designed app to find sport games happening around you, giving you the opportunity to get active, meet new people, and most importantly, have fun! It can be tough to find people who play sports around you on college campuses, but the app brings people together in a super easy way.
Specific:
The app is user-friendly and has an intuitive interface with easy navigation. I’m able to create and host games on campus facilities, either playing with just friends (invite only) or getting the chance to meet some new people (public). The app allows you to filter games by personal preference and allows both one-on-one and group messaging. I particularly like how the app shows me who is currently in the game (so I can be familiar with who’s who) and also allows me to leave the game if I can’t make it for whatever reason.
Additionally, customer support is quick and helpful! Navigation difficulties or app feature suggestions are easy to make in the settings page of the app.
Note:
Some areas on campus do require you to reserve courts and / or have specific hours for open gym so be sure to check that before creating games
Concerns:
One of my main concerns initially was safety (I didn’t want random strangers showing up and joining) but the app developer had already thought of this…the games are only limited to those with a verified school email account so I was definitely more inclined to use it.
After using the app, I think a feature that would be nice to have is notifications for when games are created, so I can join them in a timely manner without having to check the app every now and then.
Overall, the app is an amazing platform to play more games and meet new people, and I’ll definitely be putting it to good use! Would definitely recommend giving it a try for any students out there :)
