Fair play, the latest updates have fixed the bugs on my iPad 2. It's a very enjoyable game. Go for it if you have any interest in rogue likes or adventure games generally...

    Previous review below...

OK, so I read the reviews which warned me it was buggy, but the developer released an update in November 2014 listing many fixes, so I thought why not? I like rogue-likes, let's give the developer a chance...

It let me play the first level, but then the bugs started. The app closed at random points, for example, using a card which includes bleeding, or when trying to access the in game help button.

I'm playing on an iPad 2, no admittedly not a new device, but this is hardly a groundbreaking app visually, and the details state that it works on iPad.

So now I feel a little cheated, and have wasted £2.99. If the app gets fixed I'll come back and change my rating, but until then, I wouldn't bother if I were you.

It's a shame, because the game itself is pretty good. Sigh.

  • Good idea

should be a way to pan around screen without it shooting back to your guy right away, some of the equipment doesn't work right away, like ring that gives +4 to maximum health, I only got it on next floor. "Summon a demon to do ur bidding" -attacks me each turn -_- should be more shops and not only sell health/mana. Game glitches out sometimes, where enemies stuck on screen with 0 health, a lot of other little glitches, like standing on a blessed tile but not getting conditions removed, or tapping on a card and there's massive outter red boxes around them

  • Waste of money

Waste of time and money. Don't bother with this garbage!
  • Great looking, great fun

This game isn't the newest and all the reviews I read said great idea, but with some issues. Most of those were before a few updates and I'm happy to say that it plays great, looks gorgeous and is really good fun.

A good dungeon crawler with the limit of 3 cards in your hand means it plays different and you have to keep on your toes and try loads of different tactics.

    I'm very happy to recommend!

  • The perfect mix of board game and video game.

This game has remained on my iPad since launch. It mixes the influences in the genre perfectly with the best blend of video games and board games. It's 'just one more turn' addictive nature draws you into the atmosphere and you find yourself playing a few levels at a time. The visuals are slick quirky and the soundtrack perfectly complements them. Thumbs up!

  • Addictive, good and simple game...

...I am looking for the option to start from where I died instead of to start from scratch. Make in a "+" card.
And player skin could change based on items you wear.
  • Its missing something

    What we need :
    1)Character customization ; female / male. Colors.
    2) A card pouch, to be able to carry some extra cards to switch on the fly! Please make it happen
  • Fun but needs polish

On the plus: It's game play and design concept is pulled right out of your home made dungeon crawler. Fun! LOVE the absence if in app purchase BS. Combat is balanced and the spectrum of loot is satisfactory.

Con: minor glitches can derail days of progressive game play. (Right now my crusader is doomed in a single room with no exit. Lava burned away all other rooms and the portal to advance is absent so I have to start over.)

There but really doesn't need to be: There is a "camera" option which records game play and shares it but turning it on is flakey - can never really tell what the "cam on" thing is doing.

It would be just perfect but a long quest that fails to let you win because of minor programming glitch deep into your run has me raising a brow. I'll keep playing. I'm sure it will all get ironed out.

  • Taught me to love card games

I wasn't a card gamer, but this game showed me the way. Keeps me up at night past my bedtime.
  • Memory leak; lags on iPad 2 and iPhone 4s.

This game lags on the iPhone 4s and iPad 2. The lags are so bad that the game will crash in less than 5 minutes. It doesn't save your progress either. I usually can't get past the first room on either device.
    ----update------
Ok now that I upgraded to an iPhone 6 plus it plays great. Its actually pretty good game. I still can't find a way to save progress and I'm not lucky enough to find the store on level 3. I want the store to pop up right next to me when the 3rd level spawns. It would make the game awesome. I'm adding a star and will give 5 stars when I see a way to save the game and buy things from the store easier.
