## What is 67 Path?

67 Path is built by students, for students.
We know you can't quit social media. It's part of your life. But you also know the feeling — you open Instagram for a second and look up later wondering where the time went.

Other apps try to fix this with bans, blocking, or parental controls. Schools have tried banning phones outright. It doesn't work — students bypass it and resent it.

The irony of most self-control apps: they're built for people who struggle with self-control, yet they require the most discipline to use. Miss a day, break a streak, fall off the leaderboard — and the tool meant to help becomes another source of shame.

67 Path works differently.

HOW IT WORKS

At the moment you open Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, or Snapchat, 67 Path creates a brief pause — a structured 3-step check-in:

Step 1 — Intent
Why are you opening this? Pick a reason, even "literally no reason."

Step 2 — Session
How much time do you actually need right now?

Step 3 — Mood
How are you feeling? This connects your digital behavior to how you actually feel.

Takes about 10 seconds. Then you're in.

NO BANS. NO MONITORING. NO SHAME.

— No blocking. We don't restrict access to any app.
— No parent or school access. Your data is never shared.
— No leaderboards, streaks, or comparison. Miss a day — it's fine.

BACKED BY RESEARCH

67 Path's approach is grounded in published research on intentional-entry interventions, including a peer-reviewed study showing significant improvements in self-control, reduced absentmindedness, and increased autonomy among teens after two weeks of use. Our medical advisor, a Stanford visiting instructor and former neurosurgeon, supports the same conclusion: limiting access alone isn't sustainable — mindful, intentional use is.

The data agrees too. Most students don't want all-day bans — they want tools that leave the choice in their hands. The vast majority of teens say they want better digital literacy education, but most aren't getting it. 67 Path closes that gap with something that works in the moment, not just in a classroom.

FOR STUDENTS, NOT ABOUT THEM

This app was built by students who understand what it's actually like to grow up with a phone in your hand. We're not adults telling you to put it down. We're on your side — and so is the science.

Try 67 Path. Keep using the apps you love. Just build the habit of noticing why.

### 5/5 — Tested It on myself first

*2026-07-03*

Before giving this app to my child, I decided to try it myself to see how it works. I set a 10-minute session for Instagram. When it ended, Instagram was blocked, and I thought, “Ok, I don’t need it so much.”
Then, when my hand automatically reached for Instagram again, I realized I would have to extend the session. I thought again “I’m ok now without it” and decided I would do it later.

It’s been a more than a week now, and I still haven’t opened Instagram.

I don’t know how long my teenager will keep using this app, but I’ve already seen for myself that it really works.

### 5/5 — Love 1 minute pause button

*2026-06-28*

Dad of three here, oldest is 17. Most "solutions" for social media feel like spying, which just pushes kids away.
I started using it myself and it genuinely made me catch my own mindless scrolling.

Then I gave it to my daughter. I can't see her data, and that's the whole point. I think she uses it because she wants to, not because I'm watching.

If you want a control app, this isn't it. Likely that's exactly why it works.
