  • Not Perfect

It has a great clean look, which I like, but is sort of hard to navigate. Maybe I’m used to using Chrome and Safari, but I find it hard to manage tabs and search up items. The keyboard also is strange to type on.
  • Good aim, still needs work though

After using this app for a couple of weeks now I’m deciding to switch back to safari as when searching for things it’s twice as hard to find the information I’m looking for compared to safari. For example let’s say I want to know when the library opens, with safari it uses my location and instantly shows a clear time for when the library opens with out me doing anything. Compared to Ecosia I have to type where I live and then go past the ads and find a link that actually has the information I’m looking for. I’m so happy that this app is helping the trees but it still needs a lot of work

  • Absolutely Amazing!!

I am a big environmentalist, so when I found out about Ecosia, I was super excited! Ecosia is really nice because it doesn’t cause any bugs or glitches on your device. It is a perfectly safe web browser! I love Ecosia because I can be planting trees and helping save the planet by just searching for things on the web, just like you would do on Google or Safari. Ecosia does so many great things for the world, and they even give you update videos on what they are doing. I would recommend Ecosia to everyone on Earth if I could. Thank you Ecosia!!!

  • Great Search Engine - But cannot search within pages

Really appreciate being able to use a search engine which is interested in preserving the planet and the privacy of its users etc. However, it could be more user-friendly. My primary difficulty, as a student, is being unable to search through particular web pages or articles to find key words. The app does have a convenient ‘open in safari’ option which means this is not a huge obstacle but it does add hassle to the process when I would rather use one app which does everything.

  • Wonderful idea! :D

This is a wonderful idea for people to be able to help when they don’t know how like me. Though the engine isn’t quiet there yet it is going great so far. Some of the mechanics to it are a but frustrating but all are small things. For example when I press images it scrolls me over but I want to go back to web I continue to accidentally press images because Im use to it reseting back in place. It’s also a bit frustrating to accidentally press the earth instead of the tabs. I try to use it as often as I can to help and given what it’s made for I’d say this is amazing!! Great job every bit counts ✊🏽

  • 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Just start using. 👍🏼 love the idea of planting tree. And the browser is really nice, clean and pretty design, simple to used. Really big thump up guys!
  • Few big problems

I like what Ecosia does for the environment but I can’t ignore its shortcomings.

For example, there’s no ‘Open in New Tab’ functionality which for me is extremely important.

Also, Ecosia is missing a ‘Find in Page’ function.

But the biggest problem of them all is that if I type too much into the address bar (5-6+ words), Ecosia crashes and closes. How am I supposed to use this constantly if it can’t handle multiple search terms?

  • Amazing except...

This app is truly amazing. The style of it is quite similar to Google, which makes it easy to use. There is also no sign in required, so everything can be used freely without giving them your information. The only downside to this app is the images. If you try to download an image, it will take you to the website instead of letting you download it from the search page. This isn't a big problem though, and shouldn't affect the apps rating. I'd definitely recommend this app, and it is now fully my main browser. It's nice to know that my searches are planting trees. Once again, Definitely recommend

  • Want to be able to open links in a new tab

That’s probably the only thing that’s preventing me from using this browser. I enjoy convenience and efficiency and it’s annoying having to redo searches and further clicks in new tabs when you want to access more information on a number of products - this is compared to safari where I can open up a number of pages in new tabs from the one web page. Love what you do and stand for, but you need to make it more user friendly to attract more users!!

  • Good app for a good cause

I’ve only been using this for a few minutes, but it’s a very good app so far. I think the design is simple and I like the settings offered. I was drawn in by the premise and hooked by the speed, functionality, and design. My only gripe is that your results can only come one corner of the world at a time, and while kind of limiting, It’s definitely nothing bad enough to kill my experience. I’m going to switch to this as my main browser, and considering how often I open google or safari on a day to day basis, I hope to contribute to the planting of quite a few trees :)
