  • Glitchy

I love qwirkle and this app is true to the game. Playing online with another person is tough because it doesn't always recognize whose turn it is. Both players might both be waiting for the other to take a turn. Both screens say waiting for another player to take turn. Then you have to force quit the app and open it again. It seemed to reset most times after that. At least it didn't lose the game. Anyway it was annoying. And why does it always tell you your first move? That's annoying too.

  • Glitchy App but Fun game

I hope all the bugs can be worked out of this app because I really enjoy the game and think it is fun. If if it wasn't so much fun, I would have given up on it a long time ago. It loads slowly and has slow response (10 seconds) when I touch my name to get to on online game with an opponent. Also my online games often disappear (it will say that I have no online games) and then the games will be back the next day - very frustrating.

  • Game decent, Achivements are buggy

Update: Online functionality severely damaged (changed to one star because of this) All my games vanished and un/reinstalling got them back but they are all a BLACK FIELD and resigning doesn't remove them. Can't start new Online games now at all. This needs an immediate fix. Don't purchase this unless you plan to play only against the robot opponents.

If you like Qwirkle, this is a decent version for the iPad. On the iPhone, it is difficult to place tiles without pulling up the lower phone menu which is very irritating. The achievement system needs work, it doesn't give you the proper achievements and sometimes gives you ones you haven't earned (like Qwirkles the robot oppontent has done, or winning with no Qwirkles when you LOST with no Qwirkles.. Online play very buggy as well and needs work

  • Some flaws with pass and play multiplayer

To the guy who had trouble beating three Easy computers: while I haven't played the AI much, I beat a single Easy with ease. Easy is very poor with defensive play, leaving Qwirkles open for you to take. With three Easy's, there might be one AI capitalizing on the mistakes of another before you can get a turn. Try playing just one Easy, and remember to be cautious about forming five-tile lines that the opponent can make Qwirkles with using a single tile. You might win. :)

Online multiplayer and versus AI seem good based on my limited experience, but pass and play multiplayer needs fixing. First, there needs to be a "pass the device to Alice" screen at the beginning of the game to ensure that the right player gets a hold of the device before that player's tiles become visible. Second, when Alice makes her move, Bob's tiles are very briefly visible before the "pass the device to Bob" screen appears. Until these are fixed, I cannot play local multiplayer.
