HashPhotos User Reviews

Love the continued updates

I use Hash Photos to keep track of my iOS Library and separate my family photos from stuff downloaded from the web.

I like recent UI changes that unclutter my share sheet menu in lieu of keeping it internal to the app. Tagging has gotten easier I like the addition of the Tray. The only thing I’d like is file compression and ability to sort by file size.

Keep up the great work. I tell as many people as I can about the app.

Used to be better

Used to be able to stay at certain section of an album after restarting the app

Used to not slowing down / lagging after 10 mins of sorting photos

Also photos never turned black after zooming in on them, which they do now sometimes..

Bring these nice things back?

Small ux improvements

I’d give it 5 stars but I think the UX could be improved in one area. Holding the phone with one hand, I can go through photos and delete. old ones, but the button for adding a photo to a an album is at the top right (all the other ones are at the bottom). Why not add it down at the bottom as well? Not only that, but a quick button for adding a photo to an album without pressing “add to” would be super useful. There is the “…” button, but then you got to click “Add to album” and then the one you want.

Also, I do wish there was a way to remove duplicate photos. Maybe it’s a smart album? You can’t see what options exist for a smart album without upgrading the free version.

Thanks for the suggestions! You can find duplicate or similar photos by tapping a button with three dot at the bottom left corner and tap clean up button with broom icon.

After saving thousands of pics in a local album it freezes and exists the app!

I saved thousands of my family photos in a local album and now I can’t access them since the app keeps shutting off every time I try to open any local album. I also noticed the same thing with the private albums. It’s hard for me to delete the app knowing all the pictures will be gone! Hopefully if there’s any bug will be fixed.

Best iOS Photo Management App By Far

An extremely well designed photo management and editing app that is intuitive to use and packed with essential tools but not bloated out with gimmicks and bad code like so many App Store offerings. And you only pay once, no subscription where you endlessly rent rather than own the app.

I use Hash Photos as my daily driver and only touch the stock Photos app when I absolutely have to (mostly to permanently delete items in the trash). The developer of this app has designed a near perfect piece of software that has no peers, especially in this era of dumbing everything down and removing user control and functionality in the name of “convenience” and “ease of use.” Thank you for such a great product and your dedication to your craft 🙏 😊

HashPhotos functions are moved to action button (three dots) from share sheet. You can find the button right next to the keyword/tag button.

No Slideshow option?!

For a number of years I’ve used the slideshow option for my saved pictures to view while listening to my tunes, and now I find that said option is no longer available on this app. I would very much like to know why that is and if they’ll bring that option back to HashPhotos. I will also change my rating once/if they do this. Edit: it was eventually added again, but now with the recent update it’s gone once more. Unbelievable.

Very handy apps

Make it much easier to manage photos. Keep it up

Its brilliant

I have bought so many apps for my iPhone but this is hands-down the best. I rarely write reviews but felt i had to for this one. Go to the settings and customise hashi photos in incredible ways. It is awesome.

life saving

i have an absolutely overwhelming amount of pictures and videos that i have been trying to sort through for years. I wish i found this app sooner it makes everything so much more manageable. Only complaint is that there are some bugs and glitches

Almost the best app, ever… but one, FATAL FLAW!

Got this app for the tagging option. VERIFIED that tags transfer to new devices, according to the app description.

I tagged the crap out of thousands of photos… and all of that work was for nothing! The words transfer to new devices, but they do not remain attached to photos. Contacted support. Crickets.

It’s a shame because all of the other editing features -which were a total bonus- are awesome!

But the lack of transfer to new devices or additional devices (such as my iPad) makes it beyond useless… it turned out to be a giant garbage can of my precious time!

If only I could hold HashPhotos liable for the cost of all my time wasted in tagging photos. It’s one thing to not have that feature, or even have a broken feature. But to:
A. Advertise the feature,
B. Not have the feature, and
C. Ignore inquiries (as other reviewers verify they were ignored, too) about the missing/broken advertised feature…

…that is a deliberate act of stealing our time.
