  • The best mindfulness app

This is by far the best Mindfulness app that I’ve used. I love that so much content is provided with the app. I haven’t signed up for the subscription service given that I’m not meditating as much as I used to, but if ever I feel the need for a subscription service, buddhify will be my go-to. The quality of their meditations is so much better than the other major meditation apps. Great work buddhify team.

  • Great app, once you get past “Downloading media”

There are lots of great meditations in this app, well worth the money.

However, the big problem is that on first open (and random opens after that) the app goes to a spinning circle with “downloading media” and absolutely no progress bar. This can take 10-30 minutes (I’m on a fast internet connection!) and naturally it can’t do this in the background so if the phone is locked or the app isn’t in the foreground it seems to make no progress at all. There’s a “skip update” button that’s apparently just for show because it doesn’t do anything.

Basically, on first install and at random times after that, you have to turn off your auto lock and dedicate your entire phone to waiting on this massive update that doesn’t even tell you if it’s making progress.

  • Exciting Inovation

I have been dipping in and out of mindfulness for a number of years now and I have found this app is accessible in a way that encourages me to use it everyday, which means mindfulness is now again a daily practice for me and that is a great win.
Its hard doing something new with mindfulness and at the same time trying to respect the deep profound history of mindfulness with core values often seemingly at odds with the modern world its is a brave balancing act that this app and the people behind it seem to be working hard to achieve.
I really like that this app is an upfront payment rather than a subscription and again balancing sustaining the work at the same time as trying to keep it accessible. Is this app perfect? No more it’s a brave work in progress, rather like us all!

  • Versatile mindfulness

I absolutely love the app and would be giving it 5 stars if it didn’t try to update every single time you opened the app. I have to get out of the screen just for it to say ‘error downloading’ so I can skip and get to the meditation.
Other than that, it’s a great app with one purchase at the beginning and no more after (it’s good to have no surprises). It is versatile as there are meditations for all occasions.

  • Long download time

I really like the recordings in this app. I especially appreciate that it isn’t a subscription base app. The biggest issue, and the reason I can’t use it anymore is it takes forever to open/“download media”. When I want to enjoy a recording I can’t just open it and use it right then, I have to open the app and leave it open for a few minutes before I can access the recordings.

I’m super bummed because I really like the narration, even the long pauses people complain about (which are intentional to get you to slow down and be less judgmental BTW).

  • Decent idea but terrible app

This would be a really great app if it weren’t for the fact that it fails to update. Every time I open the app, especially in times of stress or need, I am told the app wheels are updating or downloading media. Then I wait several minutes to be told “error downloading from API error 377i” This happens every single time and no content is ever updated on my wheels. Really disappointed that I spent money on an app to help me meditate through stressful events or moments pending on panic attack, as my therapist suggested, and this is the garbage content I receive.

  • Helps me sleep

A friend recommended this app when I told her I suffer from insomnia. At first, I wasn’t sure I wanted to pay so much for an app, but it has been worth it. I tried Zen meditation in the past and always felt like I couldn’t get it right, so I was a bit skeptical.

When I wake up in the middle of the night and can’t get back to sleep, I listen to this app and it helps me relax and let go of whatever is racing through my mind. The speakers’ voices are pleasant and calming. I love their British accents. The meditations tell you it’s okay if you don’t understand it right away. Instead of missing hours of sleep, I only miss 30-45 minutes. I haven’t tried the other meditations, yet. I like that they are short and there are a variety of topics. You can sit quietly on a work break and listen to a session for 10-15 minutes. Overall, a great introduction to meditation.

  • Amazing Application

So I impulsively bought this app, because most of my meditation apps I’ve tried are subscription based and I’m not about that life (there’s an option for that here I think, I haven’t tried the extended premium).
But what you get is amazing. There are so many choices with so many varieties, from waking up to putting down your phone. Some are quick, others longer, but they help you get into the habit and the voices are calm and non distracting. I HIGHLY recommend purchasing the app, as someone with depression it can really help to have instructions and it doesn’t let your mind wander to a place of bad thoughts.

  • Best mindfulness/meditation app I’ve found

I love this app because of the simplicity and flexibility of the colour-wheel, and the choice of so many short sessions that fit into any part of my day.
As a Scot, it was also lovely to find a Scottish voice on some of the meditations - it’s a very personal reaction, but I find the over-Americanised apps irritating (and this rather defeats the purpose!)
I love Buddhify so much that I decided to subscribe after using it just a few times. And I already see the difference in my life - less anxiety, an easier & quicker path to calm.

  • Love the content & set up

Love the content and set up, but it’s a little slow and can take a while to load each time.
