    Having had my last iPhone not only hacked but hijacked(they not only took all my apps but the OS as well!) plus wanting 100s to give it back, I was nervous about getting another iPhone. It seems, after reading the reviews, that the apps work well for some but not for others. I think you are super intelligent for even making iPhone “antivirus” apps. I am just starting but I feel so much safer! So, once again, thank you for what you do!

  • Very easy to use and reassuring

    I am very impressed by how easy this is to use. It is also very fast and offers a wide range of options. I particularly like how it checks the iPad for functional problems and analyses memory. The photo checker can save lots of space, particularly useful when you only have 16gb

  • Always one bug or another 🤬

    Both iOS and Andriod have bugs unlike their PC version. It is so frequent and also require so much to describe the issue so I never reported them. I feel like they never test the app internally before releasing. All Avira employee should use the app, and they will know how bad their app is. I once reported and all I got were basic troubleshooting steps as if I am some old people who don’t know what they are talking about. I am actually Cyber Security expert as well as IT Support Technician. When I say bug, it is a bug and something that can only be fixed by Avira. I was asked addition dummy questions by the Avira IT Support Agent, obviously because they are asking on behalf of their developer team and don’t have any clue. It is better to directly talk to the developer team. Have good features that other antivirus apps don’t have. I always tell them to hire better mobile app developer because their current ones su*k! It is unacceptable for the big company like Avira! by customer who have been with Avira for years as a subscriber

    It’s impossible to get a response from the company and I cannot cancel the subscription I’ve been trying for 4 days and I have no facility to do this, DO NOT JOIN

    Have had a response to say to cancel the subscription which I’ve already done? But trying to get hold of them to discuss my refund is a joke, when you click on contact them nothing happens? So the 30 day back money guarantee is useless I was on there 48 hours and it messed my phone up and simply cannot get hold of them for my money back now?

  • Buggy (paid for version) VPN not working corrected after reinstall

    The free version’s good, as in: sufficient, enough. Paid version grants too much access to Avira, which is the crux of security software in gen. (Updated Jan 2021) - ... (previous comments 2020: mostly sorted by Avira) Verdict re purchased option to date: the free version is enough for iOS. - Bugs discovered so far: 1) ‘restoring purchase’ just keeps spinning ... 2) VPN does not kick in and keeps turning itself back off ... interference (!?) with their other VPN app (duh!? Only after uninstall with latest iOS and getting rid of their standalone VPN did it work) ... [3) do I really want to hand over all my data (address book and passwords) to an offsite/German company: Apple’s enough, methinks.] BUT: fix these niggles, and I might add another year’s worth of subscription ... bit more effort in writing for MacOS and iOS, please, esp. as your charging money, guys! - [Addendum post Avira-reply 26/7 Aug 2020: Thank you for your response! I gather it would also be an excellent idea to integrate in the Avira Security app unlimited VPN browsing with location check for an adequate, additional fee obviously. Kind regards - TDetDF]

  • Very Limited Capability

    The app is very useful but the VPN cannot handle any more traffic then web browsing.
    I have used other products for virus protection and can say it is sub-optimal because usually a smart scan or quick scan would take 30 to 60 seconds on my processing capability but on Avira it takes roughly 5 seconds which on any processor and most types of WiFi, is way too little time for anything more than a targeted malware scan especially while I am also using my 3TB pc as a backup.
    The good thing about Avira (free) Security is that it is free but even that is maybe not a good thing as it does not make sense how Avira would make money off of this app with minimal advertising and low in-app usage apart from the prospect of data gathering, spyware and/or adware.

    Hello, Thank you for your detailed feedback. I do agree that a 5-second scan sounds a bit off. Usually you will have the 20-60 seconds period if everything is checked properly. I am not 100% sure what you are trying to tell us with the 3TB PC in the backround since this cannot be scanned by our app on your smartphone. Money is not the most important thing with our mobile apps right now. Since we want to offer a bundle for all devices, it is actually a great, free offer at the moment. Of course we are happy if you decide to buy one of our pro-subscriptions or even Prime in the end.

    Been looking thru the App Store for a while looking for a great VPN app and then I found an ad for this one. So I figured I’ll give it a shot and it’s legit! This isn’t just a VPN! This app is super-convenient and does a lot of things to keep your phone safe and protected. One of the rare times an ad helps me! 🙏🏾😊 Thank You

  • Good but can’t use password manager

    I like this app and what it gives however despite paying for the Prime Mobile package I cannot use the password manager which should be available. It tells me that the pro version is required but already have that and it takes me to an upgrade screen which is rather pointless.
