MEGA USE TO BE GOOD NOT NOW
I been using this app four years started off great now the hackers any everywhere and mega can’t stop them. I’m a content seller with over two thousand videos on mega. Hackers are showing me my videos I never made public yet. I’m keep getting notifications this person has been deleted/deactivated they were never in contacts I only have eleven people in my contacts so common sense someone is on my page. I contacted mega support there only solution is to change my password(which I did 36 times this year alone 2022) I’m the only person that use my device plus I ask them to reset/delete everything/everyone on my page their answer they can’t change my password. I’m just being honest mega is not a good site anymore they really need to up there security I hate that I paid annually now I got to wait til January 2023(never pay annually away month to month) I really use to love this app it was so easy to use perfect for me now the hackers took over I’m losing so much money because the hackers are stealing/selling my videos as soon as I load them SMFH!!!Show lessSAVE YOUR MONEY!!!

Pros: good app design, free, lots of storage space, intuitive layout, search is easy, aesthetically pleasing, can sort and find stuff quickly even when you have many hundreds of files
Cons: marketing seems to be dishonest. They say you can get an extra 5GB for free if you recommend the app to someone and they make an account and install. I did that that very thing almost 2 weeks ago now. My friend made an account, installed the app on her iPad, and i didn’t get the free 5 GB. I’ve messaged support multiple times and they’ve responded but it’s been nearly 2 weeks and I’ve still not got the free 5GB. Seems like dishonest marketing.
The platform is good and I might just wind up buying a Pro account but honestly I’m uncertain if that’s a good idea because it seems like, while their support will help you, maybe they have some way of not having to make good on that “free additional 5GB” offer.Show lessMac Logos

This was my first time using Mega and I liked it very much. Photos sync quickly, files and folders sync quickly. I was thinking I found a Google Drive replacement, but then something happened. By accident I deleted a folder about 45GB in size. Well, when I realized that, I went immediately to recycle bin to undo this big mistake but that wasn’t the case. All of my files were there but the folders were not intact. Every single file was taken out of their respective folders and were sitting right next to their parent folders. Over 7000 files and folders all removed from their main folders and all mixed up in the rubbish folder. UNBELIEVABLE. It took me years to organize the files and now it’ll take months to recreate the folders and put everything back, if I can. WOW. Why can’t you just put a folder in recycling bin intact? Google drive never did this to me. I am so mad. I can’t even imagine wasting time to sort everything back how it was. Therefore, I made my decision to no longer stay with Mega. This experience turned me away from these guys completely. Not investing in these guys anymore. I’ll be moving on.Show lessQC guys review
Repetitive photos and videos
Peace be upon you, Mega application is one of the best programs that offers the service of memorizing photos, videos and files, but there is something I hope for and quality in an application when it saves pictures and videos. Sometimes I repeat photos and videos. I don’t understand the hype
The app is terrible and has made my phone distinctional within 24 hours, to start all the files on this app add up to the same amount of space on your phones storage so there’s no point to download this app to store files, it’s just a space waster. I put a few important files in the app and now I need to pay to view them or get them back, it does not load and it tells me my account will be interrupted if I don’t buy I plan but I thought the app was free like it says ?? I will take legal action if it comes to that to get my files back I will not pay cheapskates who wanna make a quick buck out of me because you guys think I’m stupid, stop advertising plan upgrades and let me view my files, it should not cost money . Perfect but missing one important feature.
I have been using MEGA for years to manage everything from family photos to configuration files and it is phenomenal. MEGA beats any cloud storage provider by a long shot. However, the addition of compressed video previews would be insanely useful if possible. When dealing with high quality video files, it is impossible to know what the video contains as it is extremely inefficient to watch the videos without downloading the entire file. The addition of lower quality, compressed previews of videos would make managing the files much easier, as it is prevalent with services such as Google Drive. Despite this one feature, I will continue to use MEGA as it is superior to every other cloud storage service.Show lessAmir Limame
The best
Easy to save images from web that helps save space on your phone.
Been using for years and it took my storage space down to 20GB and I upload to it daily from reddit. Because we all know the saved feature on reddit is useless so it’s easily organized with the Mega app. Just use folders. I have thousands of images saved to mine and haven’t ran out of space so I’m not sure what everyone else’s issue is with space.
You can have a profile image, encrypted chat, calls, video chat, shared folders, options on the icon, and a bunch of space for free. Easily the best storage solution it’s been the easiest to use for me on my iPhone, iPad Pro, and MacBook Air. I would recommend to friends and family over Google Drive for the Dark Mode, customization, the look of the app, and ease of use. In my opinion Google Drive looks outdated and even performs like it’s outdated as well. Stay with the times and get MEGA.Show lessJean DeJardon
Forced to pay money when it wasn’t need before
I been using MEGA for two years and for those two years I haven’t had a problem but at the time I’m submitting this review I’m getting hit with this insufficient transfer quota that’s blocking me from opening up files and I really don’t understand why is this happening it’s like I’m being blocked by a pay wall that shouldn’t be there. I like using this app but that insufficient transfer quota thing is weird and I did everything to try and get rid of it I deleted my account I erased all the storage that I had and made a new account and it still popped up either fix it or adjust it pleaseShow lessnofauxmir
Issues suddenly started
So I’ve been using this app for a while now, and didn’t have any issues until this week. My free account is supposed to give me 5GB a day, but recently I’ve been getting the “transfer quota reached” after downloading two 500MB videos a day. How is that reaching my transfer quota? It’s nowhere near 5GB. This problem just started this week and I have no idea why or how to fix it. It’s making me very frustrated. Additionally, if I’m on a web browser and I click “open in Mega,” rather than open it in the app, it opens another tab in the web browser. This also just started doing it this week. I used to love this app since it was easy to use and copy links from Instagram. But, it no longer works. Whenever I copy a mega link directly from Instagram the page that used to pop up (open in app or open in browser) no longer does. What pops up now is create an account. To bypass this I have logged into mega through my browser and then pasted the link again, but create an account keeps popping up. Nothing works and now I can’t open any of the links. My phone is all the way update. And I also tried on google since I was using safari prior (even though it used to work through safari). Also, the links are correct, I’ve even tried old links that did work in the past but no longer do.Show lessJoiaQL
