  • One very disappointed fan

Hello Hidden city creators. Why have you not fixed up the problems yet? I do enjoy the game very much-it’s one of my favourites as I’ve always loved detective books and movies since I was a child. I’m very patient and regard myself as a very good customer of yours. I don’t hesitate to buy coins and gems to complete my goals but why does that picture of that beautiful girl keep on popping up at the start of every game-staying there is an error! Fix it please, it’s just getting tiring now. And why can’t I access my gifts at the city centre, at the fountain-which will not work when I tap it and had been frozen for three days now? Please don’t show such incompetence, you will lose customers, it’s not looking good. Hurry up and fix the problem so I can get back to playing my favorite game please. These games are a way of relofir me and losing myself in their world, I’m sure they are for other people to-don’t ruin it for us, get to work people! 😩😁

Hi there, happy to inform you that the latest versions of Hidden City have major improvements, be sure to check them!
  • Its great but just a few changes needed

I love this game! Just a note after the recent update the app thumbnail has'nt changed also there was some problems with the sound for me anyway. And the events are great but I can never seem to finish them in time and collect all the items perhaps make it so theres less things to collect and if less keys can open the chests and less stars to open the gifts. Hope that helps 😃

  • Better instructions needed

It is fun but confusing as limited instructions
Only found daily objects by chance
Also some objects hidden behind other objects which is frustrating and I lose time searching
  • G5: Would get much higher rating but....

I love the game aspects of the only G5 game I've installed from them on my iPhone: Hidden Cities. What keeps this a three star rating is that the game has a tendency to kick you out or freeze on you while loading the ads that pop up frequently as you play. I would get more G5 games like it but don't because I'm assuming the problem is persistent across their games, and this would happen no matter which you download. It's not uncommon for me to have to restart the game several times a day, and if I want to play for an extended period of time, several times an hour. I don't know if this is a server issue or if the ads have something programmed into them that does this, but either way there are days I really contemplate whether the game is worth the trouble. So come on, G5--fix this issue or it may cost you this player, and likely future ones as well, because I can't recommend a G5 game with a clear conscience unless I add a warning about these issues.

  • Losing Interest

Ya hi! Can we lose the Illusions Anomaly already? I get that it’s new and you’re all excited about it, but I’m starting to lose interest after 2 years of playing this game because of it. 30 of my 40 locations are currently that dumb anomaly, and I have several times watched a location that I did NOT just play turn from a normal status over to the dumb new anomaly! And they never change!! I’m obviously not playing that anomaly frequently... because it’s not that great and I can only imagine it takes over my entire board because you force us to buy the anomaly fixer with gems!
So ok, you want money... do the dozens of pop up adds not suffice?
I have completed multiple seasonal challenges and won their avatars without having to pay a dime, which is fantastic, but I’m hardly started on the 5th level of this current Autumn challenge because I’m becoming so upset by my location options all being the same boring anomaly.
Mix it up. Recognize when your players really hate certain anomalies or don’t do well at certain ones. Reward your players with the fix to the anomaly and don’t all of a sudden require money for this kind of thing.

  • Game used to be fun

Update: The more I play this game the more I am considering removing it from all of my devices. It is so completely riddled with nag screens that is very irritating to even play. Also, each time they do an update the game becomes more unstable and crashes a lot. Not to mention they put so many obstacles into completing each mini game, that it sometimes nearly impossible. About the only way to win some of the many games is to spend money, which I refused to do. It is no longer fun and I will be seriously consider getting rid of it.

Original post: Love the game, but REALLY hate the push to get you into social media. Also I would much rather be given the option to buy the game and not have the constant having to close nag screens trying to get you to buy coin‘s jams etc. The constant nag screens really become a Major irritation. As far as gameplay it’s very fun and well laid out. It’s worth hours and hours of fun but could be so much more if it wasn’t for a constant nag screens and trying to push you into social media. Just put a price on it of about $30 and many ppl would be happy to buy. I have never, and never will buy the in app purchases. When it gets to the point where I can’t play anymore because of needing to purchase things in the game, then I just quit playing and find a different game

  • Still early days

Still early days as I have only been playing for a few days but I find that it takes a while to load the game on my iPad. I can also see that down the road purchasing things will be necessary if you expect to advance. I do are with another review about the substantial amount of reading vs finding the hidden objects. I am enjoying the game at the moment due to its challenges but only time will tell whether I will still be addicted and challenged after playing the game for a lot longer. We will see.

  • Intriguing, Entertaining and Surprisingly Social

Originally when I downloaded this I expected your standard seeking game, of which I often am not a fan of. I really really dislike these kind of games because they lack social features and challenge. If you are the same as me... this game is amazing, and honestly it is a refreshing take on the series, with an interesting method of storytelling, questing, levelling and surprisingly combat. It’s free, give it a shot, and if you like it support the devs. Have fun guys!

  • Beautiful frustrating Game

The first thing that I have to say about this game is that the graphics are absolutely beautiful and the collections are really fun. I really love the Victorian-Gothic aspect of it and all of the beautiful is symbolism and that’s used throughout the game. There’s lots of areas to explore and lots of little mini games that are nice too. I like the cards if fate mini game that has your memory and the Crystal’s game that is a lot like bejeweled. There’s also a minesweeper type game as well. That being said the game is extremely challenging as you level up in a location. While I like the challenge it is almost impossible to beat some of the puzzles unless you use a tool or a cheat. Also the pay off is very small for collecting all of the keys to the chests that are related to the main quest that’s usually happening. One thing that I think is terrible is that as you get near the end of a collection for a quest you have to summon an “anomaly” to get the item that you need in order to complete the collection. That usually cost money in someway. It’s frustrating to have come that far and then have to spend money to go further in the game.
