Have been playing this for a while now. Finding the adds for other G5 games thrown in all the time VERY annoying. I get you want to advertise your other games, but every time you finish playing one go, is just ridiculous.
Also getting very frustrated with how once you get to a certain level it’s pretty much impossible to complete a search unless you pay for it. Seriously thinking it’s time to delete this game as it’s getting too hard. Even with the “Special Event” levels that are put in now it’s nigh impossible to complete them too.
Last chance before I delete especially as it’s taking up so much gbs on my iPad

Such a shame as the game has excellent graphics. So now my rating when I first rated has dropped from a 5 to a lowly 2
Come on stop being so money hungry for heavens sake.
Would much rather pay outright for game rather than keep having to pay over and over, but then I suppose that’s what you want...

  • I have a couple of questions???

I have a question,!?How can I update a version of Homescape which is supposed to be a free game with the option if you so choose to spend money to get more lives & or more of the little doohickey thingys that help you get through each level, however some thing popped up that said I must install the new version but fir some reason it’s not letting me because I don’t want to put more money in my account than I actually have that I know that I can spend. But it’s a free game that I already have installed on my phone so why can’t I just update the friggin thing without having to have some debit card? And or how can I go about updating it without having to have money in that account? I know I didn’t use a credit card because I don’t have any credit cards. And I also know that my debit card is valid because it’s a debit card however I just only keep the minimum balance in that account unless I have more money that I know that I can afford to spend. And I also know that I didn’t use some friggin Apple Pay Card so it shouldn’t be telling me that the card number I gave them is invalid because they said they would only charge me for purchases that I make. Thus if I’m not trying to purchase something that costs money then why is it that they are trying to charge my debit card by way of that particular game especially since all I’m trying to do is do what it said I had to do which is update the app.!?

Hello! Looks like your review is about a different game. Make sure to check out Hidden City - an exciting hidden object game with many mysteries to resolve. Give it a try! ;)
  • Addictive

It’s an addictive game, however I do find it kinda frustrating that some of the levels cost so much energy, and some of the hiding places are kinda ridiculous, but I suppose that’s what makes the game a good challenge 😊

I have played this game for a long time, I agree it is way to expensive but the graphics are beautiful! Now comes the but I love a challenge in finding the objects but in several of your graphics on the newer ones they are so cluttered that in the time length you can not find very many items and much use your gems to buy the items that find multiple objects to clear the board, and if you do not clear it you get nothing. Maybe younger eyes and fingers can do better, I don't know, I just wish there was an old person version, that gave us more time or fewer objects. I also think in the pairs board you should say 10 matching pairs and let us pick out the pairs instead of you giving us a list. Also I find it very unfair that in one board the umbrella is a closed umbrella, on another board it is a open miniature umbrella and on another board it is a drawing of an umbrella on the wall, for older people this becomes very confusing. And lastly I agree that you do not listen to what people write in these reviews and you delete the least favorite ones after a very short time because I wrote one about a week ago and I can not find it.

  • Almost superb

Lovely graphics, interesting challenges - the regular events add to this aspect - and very enjoyable to play. My complaints are the Crystals game, which is almost impossible to do and therefore prevents you from achieving a number of collections (this makes me suspicious that it is a deliberate ploy to persuade you to buy the missing items); the ads, unnecessary since regular emails advertising other games are sent; and the fact that the little snowmen are erratic in terms of whether you can access the coins or energy points. A comment from the producers about the rationale behind the Crystals game would be much appreciated!

  • Addicting.. When playable

I'm truly addicted. The locations are artistic and the additional gameplay features like monsters and mini games have made this my favorite hidden object game. However, the gems come too slowly for a free player to enjoy it much at all, and the prices are too high to get any amount that would make a worthy difference in the game. Both the real $$cost of gem and coin packages and the game-currency cost of chests, treasuries, tools, boosts etc.. are too high to allow any satisfaction after dropping real dollars on pretend moneys that disappear so fast. Like I said though, I'm addicted and have three accounts. I only make purchases on two accounts and the truth is that the fifty dollars I've dropped so far on each of them hasn't brought me any farther in the game than my free account. Also, the game is a HUGE data hog upon opening new locations and especially when beginning new events. Lastly, I'm tired of seeing friends in my news feed starting the new events hours or even days before my game decides to let me in. It would be a great relief if the app store updates ACTUALLY updated the game or at least prompted the download of event content upon opening the game. The only way to get event content, it seems, is to uninstall and reinstall the game entirely and unless you have several gigs to spare or enjoy those nifty overage charges, it's just not worth it.

  • Love it!

I really enjoy this game as you can play it at your own pace, and there are many mini-games included so you can choose the type of game you want to play too! I like how it gets harder and provides the players with more of a challenge as they proceed. However, the one aspect of the game I don’t like is that energy takes too long to fill up. You have to spend money in real life to purchase more energy if you want to continue uninterrupted play. This is fair, as the game developers should be profiting from their game but I feel that the price is a bit high. If the price were lower, I would definitely play this game a lot more!

  • Love/hate

I love this game because it’s challenging. But, I hate it because some of the scenes (the plane, holiday school) are so hard, you can almost never win them. Other scenes are fun because you eventually conquer them and then move onto something new. But these two scenes seem to be the keys to the holy grail, and I can only win periodically. The other thing I dislike is that it takes so much to get to play one of them. I can only play seriously about 2x per day due to losing energy and consequently not being able to play the sub-scenes to get enough rings. Listen - if I’m hooked on your game and can actually play, and get somewhere, I’ll play a lot more, and consequently, you will have more opportunities to get me to buy something. If I know I can only play twice a day for 15 minutes, that’s all the time you get from me. I’m willing to support in-game purchases if there’s an exciting thing awaiting me around the corner. This game is just too hard and slow right now. Give us a chance to love it enough to thrown money at you.

  • Designed to be impossible to progress without paying - don't bother

Game was great fun and highly addictive to begin with - sure there were some bugs that were (and still are) really annoying, ie two rooms won't open depending on the device you're using and older iPads crash repeatedly.
After a while as you progress it gets harder and harder, which is totally expected of course, but you quickly progress to a point where you can't finish games within the time limit without paying money to buy aids. And of course you don't find many aids in the games...
It's sneaky how it's designed to entice you into rating early on when everything is still easy and fun and refreshes quickly.

Take the advice of the increasing number of lesser star reviews and find something more reasonable.

  • I get the ads but...

Why must the video ads take so long to just load - even when I'm on a high speed wifi network ? Then I have to wait for the delete X to appear. THEN an image ad for the same game I just deleted appears
I just selected delete because I am not interested in that game. An image ad of the same game will not change a player' mind and I seriously doubt the player hit the delete X by mistake. And once you get past both ads, the rewards you've just won are already off the screen and into their respective locations. As players, we want to see those rewards added, that's part of the satisfaction of playing any game.
IF YOU INSIST ON RUNNING A SLOW LOADING VIDEO AD FOLLOWED BY AN IMSGE AD, WHY NOT DELAY THE REWARDS BEING DISTRIBUTED UNTIL AFTER THE ADS HAVE EITHER RUN THEIR COURSE OR BEEN DELETED BY THE PLAYER ? Both Sides Win !!!
I get you want you generate more revenue by getting players to play more of your games, but there's the soft sell approach and the sledgehammer approach. Judging by other reviews, the latter approach may not be working.
