Information Overload
WOW!! Information overload is an understatement. I know this is an online game but the storyline, graphics, plots, promos, tools... etc, etc are so much to take in I almost have an anxiety attack when the clock is counting down because I’m afraid I didn’t read something I should’ve or utilize a tool that would’ve yielded greater rewards.... HOWEVER....
THIS IS BY FAR MY NEW FAVORITE ONLINE GAME... the graphics are brilliant, I say specific because they’re historically and/or century specific combined with Enchanted Fantasy. I wish I could go to gameplay and by a first edition players handbook... lol. It’s almost like if D&D, Wizard of Oz, and Sherlock Holmes had a ménage a’trois this would be the lovechild.
I’ll probably ruin my vision playing too long at a time, but I’ll love every minute while doing so, I started 2 days ago and I’m almost at level 9... I’m still so ignorant idk if that’s good or bad progress but I will continue to find out.... thanks to developers who obviously loved Highlights mags when they were growing up... as did I... Hidden City Review
I have been playing this game for quite awhile now. I enjoy some parts of it, but I am thinking about quitting it. It has grown very expensive for a game. I get focused on completing the challenges, which requires a lot of time and money. The graphics are beautiful, although the stories are a little strange. I get frustrated when it takes too many tries to get an object. Also sometimes something you are trying to find on the screen is obscured by monsters or the banners with the location names or some general feature like a shrub. I find I often need just a little more time to complete the game, but when I can’t I have to use some alternative that costs money in one way or another. Occasionally there are technical screw-ups like an object you are looking for that does not appear in the location until you use one of the aids for finding objects or you hit an object for matching with another, but it won’t disappear, causing you to lose the energy you used to play. There is nothing you can do yourself to fix or compensate for those situations.Show lesslinlu1947
Great game but........
I love the game and have been playing it for... I don’t know how long BUT there are aspects that really annoy me. For example, after fighting a monster and you go to treasure vault you always get the worst chest first ( only 3 items and the others hold 4). Also when trying to complete one of the events, the final section gets very difficult to achieve because you have to wait for a specific mode to find the missing item. Then suddenly all the magic items needed to access the specific area seem to disappear while waiting for the mode!!! As I say, I love the game but I work all day, and cannot play the game at work and so soon I will start to lose interest if I constantly fail in the events due to prohibitively high and costly difficulty levelsShow lessChakki Chandros

Not spending more money on it! I have being playing the game for a while now! On the moment theme Halloween I was almost 5 starts got all stickers (THAT I HAD TO BUY), I wanted to download the game to my laptop as well ( BIG MISTAKE) not only on the computer none of the progress was loaded, but also all of my progress on my iPhone was gone!! It says that I have 0 stickers, 0 stars! Only one totem! Which is ridiculous because I’m level 72! It looks like they don’t care neither.! I contacted support, followed they instructions to not use the app ( until further notice) 2 days later they emailed me and said it was fix. When I logged in, surprise NOTHING WAS FIX! Everything was the same as I left it! They only about taking your money! Some of totem gets updated by using certain items ( THAT YOU HAVE TO BUY) well I lost all progress will need to buy 3,000 more to update ( good joke) is a shame that companies still take advantage of customer and deceive them in those way!Show lessLisbug101
Diappointed
I have played this game and have downloaded to several of my devices. In the last couple of years the bug fixes or lack there of have gotten worse. This is the second time this year that I have had to completely start this games over due to the time stops working, won’t upgrade my totems, can’t collect coins, takes my coins, cannot enter all locations, and can’t receive rewards. This has been an ongoing issue and after all this time it still isn’t fixed. I have tried saving it to my cloud, and it hasn’t saved my game yet. The aesthetics for the games were fixed, but not the major issues for me were addressed. I loved this game and really enjoyed playing on all the levels that the game allowed me too, but now I have to move on and delete and not turn back. I’ve seen the maintenance, and the updates, but they are just not working properly after a certain amount of time or when you reach a certain level. The reason I gave it one star is because I’ve had to start all the way over three times, and this last time was less then a month ago. Farewell hidden objectsShow lessBlackOpalPearl
Challenge in more than one way
Love playing this game, graphics are good and it is a challenge to beat the clock. Biggest challenge I find is when the locations get changed and you are at a high level, personally it’s like starting at level one again but you’ve got to find more things. Didn’t like the fact that when an event ends and another starts you still have to get tokens to play the previous one which seems to take an extremely long time. Also getting to play monsters is very hit and miss. This said still love it.Show lessSar the skier

Definitely addictive. If you want to find out to best play ask ‘friends’ who have been playing for a while or check into the Hidden City Friends online. Great amount of info to be found.
.Gliches happen and sometimes it takes a while for them to fix, but usually they do get done.
There are tricks to building up your stash of energy and experience. One of them is to visit your ‘friends’ every day and be sure to gift them a heart by touching one or their icons or game site. You get extra rewards for doing this and move up much more rapidly in the game. Try it and see.

Do not get suckered in!!! Don’t start!
I like playing this game but these guys try to FORCE you to spend money constantly. Some of the games are super hard with not enough time or hint options (of course without buying more) & they only give you a certain amount of energy to be able to play to begin with without buying more. You win prizes from monsters but when there’s a choice - every time, the one I choose has nothing I need but the other 2 ALWAYS do & of course you have to purchase those! And then there’s a little ghost game and as soon as I get seven away from winning a prize they only allow the ghosts to be at a location that requires 127 things of energy. Again they only give you like 200 every 12 hours so really you’re going to force me to buy more or use up all of mine which won’t even take me to the final prize?!! & this game ends in an hour where I won’t have time to build more energy so would have to buy more. That is just rude and ridiculous. I actually hate this game or I should say I like the game but not the money-hungry people behind it.Show lessleenjaweezy

I love this game but why is ur new events so close together n it don’t us older people time to get over last one n it’s hard on our pockets to n I wish that ur prices were cheaper than they r bc some us r on a fixed income n it makes it hard for us to enjoy the game without having to buy something to enjoy the game just saying but I will play as long as I can until it expensive to play then I will have to quit playing this game n I don’t want to but might happen but I do love this n I have another account with u n I’m almost at level 190 on it thanks n I wish that I could play this game on Wi-Fi n regular internet connections to bc sometimes I think it would work better on regular internet connections than Wi-Fi connection especially when u have dead zones but I still love the game except for this event n oh I have another question for u to why can’t I use my nickname for this level to like I use it for my other level I should’ve to change it for any reason bc that’s my nickname for both levels n they will not let me use it in the Game Center n that’s why I haven’t setup that bc I’m not changing it n rosebud is my nickname n it will never change n when I setup this account that’s what I put in n that’s what I put in on my other account to n that’s what everyone calls me to thanksShow lessrosebud6666

I have been playing this game for a few years now, and have seen a number of good updates and challenging quests. That is not the case with the latest update, though. The latest update made some key visual changes that are, quite frankly, an impediment to the game. The object list has been moved from the right side - where it was out of the way and not impeding the game sight - to the bottom of the screen overlaying the game. Sometimes the hidden objects are hidden UNDER the list! While the list itself is somewhat opaque, it is still a problem seeing the objects. I have had a few occasions where the hidden object is under a “tool”, or at the very right of it nearly off the screen. When the object is there and you tap to claim it, you end up (needlessly) tapping a tool as well. These are huge flaws that need to be addressed sooner rather than later. IMHO, that layout absolutely needs to be changed back to the old one.Show lessshadowsmom
