    I’ve upgraded this app from a one star to a five star. Before it would not let me can out my rewards. Kept telling me to contact support which I did and support kept directing me to commonly asked questions. I didn’t need commonly asked questions, I needed the app to grant me my rewards. I just tried it again without any changes and it finally rewarded me. It took me over a year to get to the top reward so I felt they should acknowledge that and reward me. Now that they have I gave this app a five star for doing what it said it would. Now I’m reading after upgrading the app people are having trouble even opening it. I really hope this won’t be the case. If it is, another review with less stars will be in order, but thus far, my rating still remains. This app really does pay.

  • Fix the app

    Edit: I changed my rating to four stars because they did fix the app. I did not give five stars because they said it was a problem on my end when I emailed them. They knew very well they had an issue on their end and they could have just sent an automated message stating that they were working on the problem. That would have been good customer service.

    This app is usually great. I have cashed out twice and I now have over 20,000 points. But now I cannot log into the app. Customer service did respond to my email inquiry. But they said that I need to update the app or my phone, which was already done. Or they said I am using a VPN, which I am not. If it’s an app issue, just state that and I will patiently wait for it to be fixed. It seems others are having trouble as well so I know it’s not just me.

  • Very good app, has room for improvement

    First off this has been a very good app for me. Works great and they are trustworthy to give you your gift cards. The literal only complaint I have is there timeframe to submit receipts is so much shorter than any other app and it’s hard to get them all scanned in time. Plus there is a limit on the points and then it goes to scanning receipts for the sweepstakes, which is better than nothing for sure, but would still like a higher limit. I can also confirm they do give out money for the sweepstakes! I won $200 or $250 once, it’s been almost two years ago so I forget the exact amount but the timing was great as it was my granddaughter’s bday and I spent it on her. So they really do do the sweepstakes and the $ is given away. Very trustworthy app!

  • Wasted years on this app. Don’t install.

    I have had this app for at least 2 years now and have had no problems until now. Over the years I gathered enough points to redeem a $50 gift card but decided to wait and maximize my points redeem the $100 gift card instead which I had gotten very close to. I don’t shop that often so it had been a few weeks since I last checked the app as always. But this time I opened it to a complete surprise. All of my points had been deleted, and all of my accounts had been disconnected with no warning or explanation whatsoever. It appears that after a certain amount of time they just go ahead and reset your account if you haven’t used it. I contacted support and have received no reply. I am so upset I have wasted years scanning 867 receipts for no reason. (The receipt logs were not deleted) They basically stole my money and my time. I’m furious I use receipt apps in the first place because i’m broke. This was just a slap in the face. I want my rightfully earned points back.

  • Whoops image already recognized (new error message)

    I’m not sure when, but it’s most definitely been very recently, that a new error message started popping up on my device screen after hitting the done button to submit my receipt image. This error is popping up for receipts that i literally just got handed to me at the grocery store, so i’m not sure how it ALREADY recognized it, but that’s pretty amazing future seeing abilities there Receipt Pal. This happens to me a lot here lately. please fix the error or better yet remove it, bc if i want to use up all my receipt stars submitted the same receipt, that’s my prerogative. If yall have issues with other people please don’t make me suffer bc of it. thanks! dorothy gail lemaire tingen

    Thank you for your feedback. It’s important when taking pictures of your receipts to make sure all required information is clear and visible. If for some reason your receipt is marked invalid please contact our support team either through the Help Center within the app or by emailing support@receiptpalapp.com and they will be happy to assist you. Please note: Receipts for purchases made each week (from Sunday to Saturday) have to be submitted by the following Tuesday. For your convenience, submission dates are noted on the home screen within the app.
  • Ever heard of PRIVACY?!

    UPDATE: Survey sent by app today violates HIPPA. Asking what health conditions we have?! 🤨Thats none of your business and not something that a receipt app needs to know! Yeah I lied in my replies because I will NEVER tell an app for receipts about my PERSONAL health! | Customer service is clearly NOT in the USA with the names of reps and they are picky snobs (and thats me being polite so this stays up) I sent 2 receipts from Auntie Anne’s. Both had the date formatted day/month/year on the paper receipt. Receipt Pal system accepted one but not the other. So I emailed them and was told the date has to be formatted month/day/year to be accepted. 😒1) How are we supposed to control how a store prints their receipts? 2) All of the required info is there but they are rejecting a receipt based on the order of info for a date?!? Seriously 🙄 And 3) So why did one get accepted and NOT the other?! They never gave me an answer. Guess they couldn’t explain the utter nonsense

  • Good for Gift Cards, but very slow.

    I do enjoy the app. Never hurts to earn an extra gift card or two even if it may take you a few months.
    It was a hassle to get some linked accounts to work correctly as it was for some weird reason disconnecting certain ones a few times. The app also didn’t want to work or open a few times and I had to wait a day or two to try again.
    Aside from just earning points for receipts, you also get extra points when first connecting online accounts and weekly bonus points for scanning your linked accounts.
    So, overall this app is a keeper but isn’t the star of the show. I use multiple reward apps and this is more of a background runner.

  • Works but has a lot of issues

    This app does work in that if you fill up your cards, save, you can definitely redeem your points for gift cards. It’s a very slow process though because you are capped at the number of cards you can turn in for the week.

    My issues with this app have been:

    -it’s pretty buggy. The loading times between screens are very slow. I’ve also had it not load a few times (maintenance?) and so I’ve just had to come back later.

    -I get random messages like “your account is inactive and will be deleted in 30 days” when I literally have been using it all week.

    -sometimes your receipts get rejected for the wrong reason (e.g. expired when it’s actually not expired) so you have to spend some time arguing with customer service about it. literally keep your receipts and show them the error and they are usually good about correcting though

    -receipt search is very annoying. It keeps resetting the filter when you look a receipt, and go back to look at other receipts in the filter. I occasionally use this to find old receipts to reference something but have to constantly refresh the filter if I don’t find what I’m looking for on the first try.

  • Amazing

    So happy with this app what an amazing creation I add all my receipts I remember to get I’m so bad at remembering to ask for one always in rush and don’t realize they didn’t give me one tell I’m leaving so I don’t have time to go back and get it but I spend a lot of money so it’s nice to get something back from it and it’s my hobby I look forward to it at the end of the night before I go to bed and I see how much I’m actually spending everyday and realizing I have a problem and getting better about it too it’s definitely a app everyone should have I love it it’s better then others also easy to use and not making you do anything but enjoy it

  • Nope I’m done

    I like this app a lot better when you had 30 days to put in receipts. Now you have to put in receipts every week or every few days and some people just don’t have time for that so I had not been on it for a while because I just didn’t have the time to put in receipts that often and then when I tried to get on it after not being on there for a while, I had to, hurry up and put another receipt in before I lost all of my points. I connected accounts put in receipts and receipts should’ve been taken and factor from my emails that were connected to my account and they still took my points all the way down to zero and took all of my connected accounts, but my emails off of my account to where I would have to reconnect them but I just got within the last few days. I had gotten up to almost 1500 points had receipts done and I still lost all of my points so done with this app and so done with the people who even made this app I will definitely be looking out for any other apps that they do because I feel like they just are screwing people over.
