They fixed something that wasn’t broken and made it worse
The old app gave you instant notifications when a transaction went through, but this updated version sends you an uniformative text up to 24 hours after the transactions were made. And good luck deciphering the wording to figure out how to set that up. We found the old notifications useful several times when our card was cloned and then used. Pretty sure if that happens again we won’t find out until long after. They also do not show pending deposit details at the same time the amount is added into your balance. Can’t figure out the logic there. Causes confusion until they catch up wondering why your balance seems off based on incomplete transaction details. Only giving this 2 stars because it tells us our balance (even if the account is not showing timely transactions). Overall the updates were poorly thought out given where technology is in 2024.

Listen to your customers
Latest app update took you from a very good experience to poor one. I also use TD Bank and theirs used to be just OK compared to yours, now theirs has surpassed you. I just went to bill pay and it comes up as a webpage on the iPhone - font size about a 2 - and not a user friendly app interface the way it used to be - so you went backwards. I scratchy head when companies make updates like this because the negative change is so obvious.

Meh
Pros: Update includes new self service features, making it easier to change contact information, message customer service. Cons: My transactions keep disappearing and reappearing — specifically direct deposit or account transfers — but sometimes reflect in the balance. It’s hard to understand what the real balance is. Don’t is also thin and hard to read.

Updated App
The updated app is not as user-friendly as the previous app. The information that we had at our fingertips is now more difficult to access and it’s not user-friendly through an iPhone. We need to constantly zoom into each page to be able to use them. This was not the case previously. I am hoping they will be additional updates to resolve user issues.

New update ≠ Good Upgrade
This new update is a not an upgrade. Creating a new UI layout for what purpose? Why does bill pay kick me out to in-app webpage? That doesn’t make me feel secure and I know I’m not the only one. Transfers are so slow in the app now. What’s up with us having write short stories in our check memo lines just for mobile deposit? Seriously who was this for? Why can’t normal procedures that worked inside the old app get kicked to webpages now?

Depositing remotely could be made easier!
Not intuitive. I tried 3x to figure out how to move from front of check to back for photos. Could be made easier!
Bad app
The app is prone to crashing and doesn’t have a lot of functionality. It can be slow and often times is a pain to log into. Worse than any other bank app I’ve used.
Check picture issues
Always struggle with check pictures even with good lighting
