  • Love this game!

Looking forward to the upcoming levels and would love to see more movie/novel totals, landmarks and influential figures. I’ve downloaded a lot of games in my time, but this one has to be my all-time favorite.

Update: Still head over heels in love with this game and have reset it no less than 30 times. Any idea when new levels will be available? :)

  • Very fun, challenging game!

I also have to say - ignore the naysayers! It’s unique and very satisfying to play. After I played for a few levels, I happily paid a couple bucks to get rid of the ads and that was completely worth it for the gameplay, having more hints, and supporting a puzzle game that’s not another run-of-the-mill crossword.

The levels range from easy to very challenging, and I like that the harder levels aren’t dumbed down. Even if you know what a word is, the puzzle can be tricky if you aren’t sure where the correct letter should come from, presenting a unique little twist on the usual crossword format.

The only downside is that it takes sometimes months for new levels to come out, and when they do it’s only a couple at a time and the game is so addicting that the new levels are completed in a day or two. I would love to see more levels coming, or even a daily puzzle. Simply put, I want to play more! :) Of course that’s not worth taking a star off the rating of such a great game.

  • Love most of it

Fun to play, but there are a few things that I don't love about this game: 1. Misspelled words in a game that is all about spelling. That seems lazy on your part for not double checking it. 2. Some levels have repeats of the same words. 3. Some words require you to switch identical letters for it to count as correct. 4. Come on guys, don't ask $30 to be able to change the background color. It should be a perk of purchasing any level. I play at bedtime and wish the screen was darker.

  • Excellent Game

I enjoy this game a lot. Challenging but not impossible. Definitely buy the ad-free version...well worth the money if you play this a lot. My only complaint (a minor one) is that the finished puzzle is locked in place and it doesn't allow you to zoom out and see the finished puzzle once it's completed.

  • Okay, but not great

This game is fun. It’s a creative idea, and has some interesting puzzles. It’s not worth the $30 they expect me to pay for all the content though. Plus, the controls are different from similar games. You don’t drag to swap letters; you have to tap each letter. And there are WAY too many ads. Like an ad after each level too many. I’m cool with ads in free games, but this is nuts. Overall, I may finish my 96 free puzzles, then uninstall it. Or I may go ahead and get rid of it because I’m sick of the ads.

  • Watching ads for hints?

I LOVE this game. I bought the almost full version (all & future packs, not the one with themes, etc.). I've noticed that I can no longer watch an ad for a hint like I used to. I didn't use it super frequently, but it was nice when I had been stuck for a while. I can't do that anymore. I don't want to pay for hints, because if I did, I would've just bought the full version. Why can I no longer choose to watch an ad and get a hint?

  • Love this game!!!

I purchased this game ages ago for my Mac and I love it. I went ahead and decided to download it to my iPad. I was disappointed to find that my iPad only had the free version. One quick email to AO, and changing some settings and I am once again rocking the full version!
I love the challenge of the game. I love the music. I have no regrets for purchasing this game.

  • Certainly unique among the word game universe

I find this game fun and challenging. it’s definitely a mental workout sometimes and sometimes the hints are absolutely necessary especially when the terms are words one never heard of. But just a few hints here and there isn’t “cheating;” it just simplifies an otherwise too difficult puzzle and restores the fun factor.
The game incorporates relaxing music and I find this to be a highlight of the overall experience, for the gentle music definitely helps me to relax. I do hope that further versions of the game add more tracks of music as I would enjoy more of this kind of “zen” experience.
A few things to change: 1. The white “title bar” at the top of the screen is way too big and takes up valuable screen work space. The same information could be stated in just a small corner or narrow band. 2. A little more artistry of the themes would be nice, like subtle pictures in the background and not just solid pastel colors. 3. Maybe more flexibility with the undo function, enabling the player to move letters around when “stuck” would be a good feature. Only two “shots” then you start over is kinda stiff punishment.
Finally... there is no such dessert as sherbert! This is unforgivable.
    Thanks for a great game.

  • Updates are too slow coming. UPDATED

I’m a word puzzle Addict. I bought the whole game. Love it. However they’ve been promising the new levels for months now. This is a pretty pricey app for a game. I would expect much faster releases for this kind of money.

UPDATE APRIL 27: April is practically over and still no promised update. I’m asking Apple for my money back. So not worth the very LARGE sum of money you charge. Reducing to three stars.

  • Fun Game

The only complaint I have is that if you select a letter to switch and your finger bumps the one next to it instead of the one you meant to select that you can’t unselect it. Instead you have to make a wrong choice and use your undo if that letter doesn’t need to move.
