### 2/5 — Explain

*2026-05-28, version 3.1.0*

Explainations are terrible. Switching to the demon at the end of this billing period cuz wtf

### 2/5 — glitchy highlighting on iPad

*2025-03-08*

During RC BR, I cannot use my apple pencil properly. whenever I try to use my apple pencil, it highlights not only the passage but the whole page and I cannot undo it.

### 2/5 — In dire need of a revamp

*2024-08-22, version 2.1.5*

[This is only a review of the app itself, not the course. The course is good.]

An app verging on actively bad. Why is it so hard to get to any page I want using the sidebar? If I’m using the 7sage app on my phone, I’m (personally) likely using it for either the Course videos / lessons or the Drills section. Why is “Discussions,” a section most users likely use occasionally at most, at the very top? Why is there still an option for Logic Games taking up real estate when it’s gone from the exam now? Why is “Course,” the thing I’m primarily paying for, at the very bottom (and underneath “Course Review” at that)? In my opinion, “Course” and “Problem Sets” (Drills) should be towards the top, perhaps followed by the various PT-related categories, Discussion, with Course Review at the bottom.

Additionally, I understand why it’s the easiest option to do so, but it’s an undeniable turn off that the app basically feels like the website shrunk down to an iPhone. It doesn’t feel app-like or intuitive at all. It doesn’t make me want to use the app; it makes me wish I had a computer instead. Tldr; app UI/UX needs a huge touch up. Though I wrote more regarding the sidebar, this might be the more important issue, though the harder one to fix.

It’s not a 1 or 0 star because the app functions (doesn’t crash often, isn’t insanely laggy, etc.), but I wish it were an app that I looked forward to using instead of one I dreaded. (Once again, website is fine, service is good—I’m only talking about the app itself.)

### 2/5 — Horrible App Configuration

*2024-01-24, version 2.1.5*

This is NOT a review on the services 7Sage offers, just the way this app works. I downloaded this app so I could drill LR questions and games basically whenever I want, but every time I start a drill, I can never complete it because the answer choices just aren’t there. Like literally. The answer choices are blank. Or they’re partial answer choices, like “B is one lane apart from ___” and I guess I’m just supposed to guess what the rest of the answer choice says. It’s really REALLY annoying especially because the only reason I got this app in the first place was to drill and that’s the number one thing wrong with it.

### 5/5 — Best LSAT study method

*2024-01-06, version 2.1.5*

7sage is the glue to the missing pieces of my study paradigm!

Thankful!

### 4/5 — Great but missing Split View

*2023-03-07, version 2.1.5*

Overall the app is great and working exactly how I expected it to work but the lack of split screen is rather inconvenient

### 4/5 — Split view not supported

*2022-03-22, version 2.1.5*

Great app but split view isn’t supported. That plus CC on the videos would make it 5 stars.

### 5/5 — Start here

*2021-11-08, version 2.1.5*

I used several other LSAT prep programs and was disappointed with the results. I decided to give 7Sage a try because it was affordable and several explanation videos had popped up on Reddit from time to time, and it was the best money I spent. I added 12 points to my already improved score from the other study methods.

The layout and format of the website is accessible and super helpful. JY does a fantastic job of explaining everything. Lastly, the ability to retake questions can’t be underestimated. For anyone beginning their LSAT journey, I recommend you start here.

### 5/5 — The best LSAT prep material out there.

*2021-09-23, version 2.1.5*

I jumped from an initial diagnostic score in the high 150s and ended up with a high 170s on my actual LSAT administration in 5 months. I can say without a doubt that 7sage played a critical role in that progression and development. Not only does the course give you a structured pathway to improving in each section, the learning models (e.g., the Foolproof Method) and teaching methods are some of the best I've seen.

### 5/5 — Very helpful

*2021-08-13, version 2.1.5*

I’ve tried different courses before but they all seemed harder and more expensive. I really like this course. I will be honest, the app I think can be a little updated and I think blue print is a little better in terms of app design but I would not trade it for blue print for the content is much more helpful and valuable to me. Thank you JJ for creating such helpful tool.

### 4/5 — Great Course, decent app

*2021-08-08, version 2.1.5*

As others have noted, the content itself is excellent. The app, while functional, has some display and up issues but works decently enough on iPad.

### 5/5 — So neat and handy!

*2021-05-02, version 2.1.3*

This app is designed just as good as the website. I love that I can do my studying on the go on my iPad!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — This app is just the website

*2026-01-22, version 3.0.0*

You might as well just use your browser to use 7Sage. The app is super glitchy and it is clear they made no changes to adapt to an app format.

### 1/5 — Keeps Locking Me Out

*2025-03-04, version 2.1.5*

Keeps failing to log me in on the first attempt when the information is correct. It then locks me out of my account due to “too many failed login attempts” after the first attempt.

### 1/5 — Can’t log in keep getting “try later”

*2024-09-27, version 2.1.5*

Can’t log in keep getting “try later”

### 1/5 — Perpetual Login issues

*2024-06-26, version 2.1.5*

App consistently says I entered the password wrong and to try again later. When I try select forgot my password it doesn't always send an email to reset it, and the emails are very delayed when they do come through. Once I manage to change my password and I’m positive that I’ve entered it correctly and that I do have service it still says the password is wrong and locks my account. The lockout applies to the app and the computer version so it’s very inconvenient and disruptive to studying. I’ve never been able to successfully access the app.

### 1/5 — Video not playing

*2022-09-12, version 2.1.5*

When I try to see the explanation, on some devices it is not working. Hard to review the answers. Hope this bug is fixed as soon as possible

### 1/5 — Useless

*2022-09-04, version 2.1.5*

Nothing works in this app

### 1/5 — Awful User Interface

*2022-06-06, version 2.1.5*

Too much trouble to sign up. Takes forever to load pages. Ugly user interface.

Also, for 95% of content you must pay A LOT of money…

Many in-app purchases

### 1/5 — Course page continues to not reload..

*2020-12-03, version 2.1.3*

I am trying to continue my studies at the moment, but the course page isn’t loading. I’m left with a blank white page for the past hour. Not sure if this is a common bug or a bug that you are aware of. I just deleted the app and downloaded again.

### 1/5 — Misleading scam

*2020-06-30, version 2.1.3*

The price of a membership does not include an additional LSAC licensing membership. After signing up I had access to 7sage’s resources for a few days, until I was suddenly locked out, and wasted time that I had planned to spend studying trying to figure out why. This is a good service if you are willing to spend significantly more than the advertised fee, but I am extremely annoyed to have wasted my time and energy on it

### 1/5 — Deceiving, can’t do anything without paying

*2019-06-12, version 2.1.2*

Misleading app, free to download but can’t get anything useful without paying obscene amounts of money.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — I love it

*2026-08-29, version 3.4.0*

I was using a different study platform before I switched over to 7Sage. The explanations are straightforward and easy to understand. I kept getting confused with the other platform because they were trying to make the explanations cool and funny, but really I just want the argument broken down into digestible pieces and someone to explain to me exactly what each piece is doing to the argument and why my answer was wrong or right. 7Sage does exactly this. They are also cool and funny but I never get lost in the jokes, they’re always relevant to the point. I also love the adaptive drills, the priority tagging for concepts you need practice on, blind review for drills and exams so you can try certain questions again without clock pressure. My favorite feature of 7Sage is the Sage AI tool that can analyze your drills and Prep Tests so you can figure out what went wrong, what went right, and what you should focus on next as you approach test day.

### 5/5 — Fantastic experience

*2026-07-30, version 3.4.0*

Amazing, got $2/month fee waiver from LSAC, Thank you so much

### 5/5 — 7Sage ——> LSAT Success

*2026-07-25, version 3.2.0*

If the title doesn’t make sense, you should have already downloaded the app. If it does, you MAY have already downloaded the app. The fact is, downloading the app will help you understand not only the title of this comment but more importantly, the LSAT. However, I can concede that while downloading and using 7Sage is sufficient to helping you score that 170+, it is not necessary. But is that a risk you are willing to take? Your move…

### 5/5 — Game changer

*2026-07-17, version 3.2.0*

Excellent app with excellent customer service. A variety of tips, drills, and sections to improve your score. Cant recommend it enough

### 5/5 — Great Study Option for the LSAT

*2026-07-09, version 3.2.0*

Love the service, and the app. Have been using the service and the app since February of 2026. I highly recommend the platform! The app is great to study on the go. The service is a great resource!

### 5/5 — Best Test Prep!

*2026-06-25, version 3.2.0*

I really love all the new changes. I have improved my confidence to take LSAT

### 5/5 — Great program!

*2026-06-20, version 3.2.0*

The 7Sage program is helpful for gaining a deeper understanding of the LSAT. The wide variety of content available from lessons to games means that you can engage with the concepts on a level that feels right at any given time. The app, however, is just a wrapper of the website, rendering the app quite slow. Use the website instead!

### 5/5 — 7Sage is a the GOAT of LSAT Prep.

*2026-06-20, version 3.2.0*

7Sage delivers a quality comprehensive curriculum along with the tools you need to leverage your strengths and eliminate your weaknesses. Test prep couldn’t be any easier than following 7Sages personalized Study Plan specifically tailored to help you maximize your chances score on test day. But the AI Analysis Bot is the real game changer. Tracking your progress and using your very own data to guide you in the direction of progress, 7Sages AI Analysis Bot may be the most invaluable feature for those looking to gain insight through review and meaningfully work to towards achieving your goal. 7Sage is truly a beam of light in the darkened sky, illuminating your path towards greatness!

### 5/5 — The best

*2026-06-04, version 3.1.0*

I’ve tried everything. 7Sage has the best explanations, and it tells me what to work on next.

### 5/5 — Thank you 7sage

*2024-06-26, version 2.1.5*

I am a first generation college student and law school applicant. With little guidance I decided to purchase a kaplan LSAT prep book before taking my first test in January . When I received my first score back I was beyond devastated. I didn’t believe that I could get anything higher and wanted to give up. I decided to take the test again this June and decided that I needed different prep material. I paid for a subscription for 7sage (sadly, I didn’t know there was an option for a $1 enrollment for fee waiver applicants until after I paid for it). I was able to increase my score by 10 points. I might’ve not received the highest score but I am able to have a chance of getting into law school which is exactly what I needed.
