  • Fun game, but...

This is a great Mahjong game, but the tiles are very small and you cannot zoom in. This isn’t really a problem for me, but my grandma sometimes has tough times seeing the differences in some similar tiles. Another thing is that there is no way to go back levels. I showed my grandma how to play Four Rivers, but she only really had fun for the first few levels. Afterwards, it just became too hard. It’d be nice to be able to play previous levels too.

  • Frustrating!

I tried other Majong apps and like playing their games, so I tried this one. I succeeded in getting to level 19 in one of the games in this app. But, you have to pay for hints and the app does not tell you how many matches you have, like other apps do. After trying to get to the 20th level about 15+ times, including using their hints and lighting plays, I still could not complete the game. I believe that the purpose of the higher levels is to get you to keep buying hints and lightning plays, where the app plays a few moves.

I do not like games where you cannot win without spending money, so I deleted it.

  • Could’ve been perfect

This is one of the only Majong games I liked but I have to close out of the game and then go back in to continue playing when I lose the level. Got tired of doing this, so I bought some shuffles. I used them up on the last two pieces of the game because it repeatedly shuffled them to the EXACT same spot. At this point I was really aggravated. Basically just took my money. When I click “store”, it says I have 500 coins. What are they for, and how in the heck do I use them?? No icon to click to find out. Only the one that changes screen colors. No way to contact anyone thru the app. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled also. You’d think those supposed 500 coins could be used to buy more shuffles or hints or whatever, but it doesn’t. It all costs actual money to purchase them. VERY DISAPPOINTED

  • Highly addictive

Love the range of games. This is hard to put down, a great attention holder.
  • Literally impossible to win some levels

I was having a really good time until I got to four rivers level 9. Because of how the board is set there are four tiles that can only be matched in very precise locations. If their matches are not at these locations it will be impossible to pass the level. Once I realized this I saw why I was having such a hard time. It took six level restarts before I got one that even had the right placements to be beatable. Then I couldn't beat it because one of these four matches needed removed to further the game. What a scam! They have all these limited use shuffles and back buttons (yeah you have to buy the go back a turn!) that are there because you can't beat all levels otherwise. They get your money and your fooled into thinking you can beat a level with skill. I'm giving two stars for the benefit of the doubt that all levels aren't as rigged.

  • Love 4 Rivers but needs edits!

I love playing the 4 Rivers’s games. This is the only app with that, but you should be able to go back to levels once you beat them!! I mean, how do you get a best score that you can’t then try to beat?? So stupid! Also level 40 took me weeks to finally get a play that worked without extras (shuffles, hints). And then I beat 41-49 quickly only to have the same situation at level 50! How annoying! I just have to delete and reload and start from level 1, and repeat the process every time I get to level 40. Fix this so you can at least replay levels!!!

  • Many hours of fun

This game is very well done. I've played all of the games, some to higher levels than others (past level 100 in Quests). It took a while to be able to see which tiles were active and/or how high they're stacked - more shading would be appreciated!! I haven't had any bugs or real problems in any game or level so far. My only real complaint is that as you progress to higher levels, the tiles get tinier and tinier, and they're very hard to see!! I also find it disconcerting when the tiles jump and move as I progress through a level. I understand that this is done to center them and make them bigger as I eliminate some, but after finally adjusting to where I can make out the little tiles, then they move and/or suddenly get bigger, it takes awhile for my eyes to adjust again and to put the pattern into perspective again in my brain. It would be nice if there was an option to turn this off. Overall, a great mahjong game with lots of levels to provide hours and hours of enjoyment. I tried quite a few different mahjong games and this is definitely my favorite. I deleted most of the others.
