  • Beware!! of Deceptive Costs for this ‘Free Game’

These are some of the best Mahjong games I’ve tried. Having a variety of different types of puzzles makes it even better. My biggest complaint is with the developer’s lack of communication for making purchases in their app. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind paying for good apps. This app earns it’s money by having you purchase hints. Each games has options for a help function like undo or reshuffle. They start you out with some free ones but when you run out, you have to buy more. I have no problem with that. I went into the Home area and purchased coins and went back to the Towers game to purchase more reshuffles. Guess what? They wanted MONEY $ for the purchase, not coins. I had been in one of the other games that let me buy with coins. There is NOWHERE in their app that tells which games require coins and which require a cash purchase. ** This is extremely deceptive. ** I just spent money buying coins that I can’t use for the game I need it in. Developer - please take note and fix this! Would hurt you to add a page that explains your purchase system? Or better yet, use a consistent ‘currency’ in all your games that are in this one app? If it weren’t for this, I’d give this app 5 stars.

  • Forces you to pay to play

This game always forces you to pay to play once you reach above level 69. I am a very experienced digital Mah Jong player as there should always be a way to complete this game! I have played level 71 on numerous occasions since then and have not got past the first 2, 3 or 4 pairs on roughly 50/60% of the attempts I have made to play the game. This really isn’t a good scenario, especially when the only way I can continue this game to a conclusion on some of these levels has been to actually pay to buy shuffles. The last game I played this evening created a scenario where I took the top 4 tiles off the board and then could only go further if I purchased said shuffles as the game then blocked me from making any other moves. Very frustrating!

  • Use logic - not reshuffles, people!

I’d never played Four Rivers before but that’s my absolute favorite game on this app. It’s the perfect challenge for my logic-loving brain. From reading other reviews, it seems most people don’t realize the tiles aren’t set at random. These puzzles aren’t impossible; they are totally solvable if you’re patient enough. I completed 199 of the 200 Four Rivers levels, each at the highest score, on my own, employing only logic. (Level 197, I’d like a word with you. 🤨)

Instead of using cheats, if I get stuck on a level, I simply restart and think it through more carefully. I appreciate being able to see (on most levels) all of the tiles at once. They’re in a predetermined placement, but the images on the tiles get switched up each time you restart the level. I really like that feature because it feels satisfying to continue to work out a specific logic puzzle, and the tile image switch keeps it challenging and interesting, so you’re not just trying to visually memorize the order on the board.

This is the only app I’ve ever taken the time to review. Well done!

  • Luv mahjong

This game I’ve played over several years now and I luv it. The game has kept me occupied for hours on end. I highly recommend this game, be warned it’s really addictive, once you have started your hooked. I’m now re-doing the 1000 quest games to get the pink gems on beat the timer ( pink bar ), currently got 769 pink gems out of the 1000 of them..only another 231 to go. I’ve given the game a 5 stars because it’s enjoyable.

  • Loads of options

This is my go to pre-sleep puzzle game. I like that it features so many different Majong games, and I like the gradual increase in difficulty as you move through each set.
  • Long time Four Rivers user

Level 38, level 39, and level 40 ARE beatable without using cheats, shuffles or any of the extra stuff. I just went back and tried them all, took me a couple tries on one of them but completed most of them pretty quickly. That being said, I’m stuck on level 100 right now if anyone knows the trick to that...
Overall, I’ve found if I’m stuck on a level, if I give it several days and try again, my brain looks at it a new way and I can figure it out then.

  • Best Majhong game available

Ok so I haven’t tried every Majhong out there but this is a brilliant version. Not only can you play standard Majhong against a clock (2:37 is my PB) but there’s 4 other sections. There’s a quest section that has 1000 levels of different shaped boards. Then there’s Four Rivers which is fundamentally the same but has different rules.
Next is a Towers version which just has board that are very stacked rather than large.
Lastly though is he best version of the game I’ve ever found called Triples. The game is pretty simple but can be fiendishly difficult. This is the version I play the most and hope for new levels for when every update comes out.
Oh and there’s also a solitaire game added too.
Great game and barely any adverts. You can buy hints and stuff but you really don’t have to.

  • Lots of boards & no ads

I love, love, love ❤️ this game. It is much better than other mahjong games I’ve tried. First, there are tons of boards. I never get bored. There are easy, intermediate, and hard levels and easy, medium, and hard boards within each level. Best of all, I haven’t seen a single ad : no rude interruptions to break my concentration. If you like to chill with a puzzle game, get THIS ONE! It’s so great, I’d even pay for it —sshhh, don’t tell the developers I said that, but they should be rewarded for excellent work.

  • Great

I have played every single game and won them all. However I can’t seem to get the free upgrades for new challenges. Even so I still love it. It’s hard sometimes, but I keep playing till I win. It keeps my mind working good especially now during this pandemic when I have no concept of what day it is. Keeps my mind sharp. Play at least once a day. Play the same game till I can win it 3 times in a row. If I get hung up, I simply go back and start over completely. No cheating. Clear back to the main menu then go at it till I win it 3 times in a row.

  • Four Rivers 197 now possible

You can get up to level 197 in the Four Rivers game without using any help, so not bad value for a free download if you are prepared to think through levels and not buy anything. Level 197 used to be impossible but a recent update has changed the configuration. Now difficult but possible, so upgraded my rating. Well done to the developers.
