  • Slightly frustrating

Overall, this is a great game... nice graphics, interesting layouts, a lot of variety. My one frustration is that the layouts can’t be rotated or otherwise reoriented. On the Towers layout, I am currently stuck on 111. There are a lot of areas that can have tiles that are available for play, but I can’t see (and thus can’t select them). I know this because I’ve had to abandon games when there are no visible matching tiles *and* I’ve touched almost every area on the screen. The areas I’ve not touched are the various buttons requiring me to buy hints, shuffles, etc. It’s a game, so I’m not looking for shortcuts or hints. I just want to be able to “walk” around the board to see where tiles might be hiding.

  • Missing Options

This game is fun, but the people who created it should update it to allow for a reset. Other games allow one to replay (including other Mahjong games). I would play this a lot more and would rate it 5 stars, if that function was there. Not sure if the creators actually read the reviews.
  • You don’t have to cheat to solve

I’ve read several reviews stating that you have to buy cheats (shuffles etc) to pass a level. I haven’t found this to be the case. I particularly like four rivers, because it’s solved entirely by logic. You can see all the pieces at once. The difficulty of the levels isn’t progressive, which I like. After being stuck on one level for awhile, after finally solving it, I’m happy to breeze through a few before getting stuck again. I also like when you start a level over, the pictures on the pieces change, but the basic logic problem is the same- you have to pay attention the location of the two or three sets of pairs.

  • Missing the point of Mahjong

I play this Mahjong because I like the tile pattern often hoping to find new sets of games with challenging patterns that vary. There is a small set of games that repeat. If one false move is made there is 0 redemption possibility and the player is switched to a new shuffle of the board that a 4 year old could play quickly. Ready to delete the game to play my other interesting Mahjong games that reward me with hundreds free, new games as I meet their challenges.

  • Great relaxing and at times challenging game!

I love Majong games and stumbled on this one. It has kept me entertained and given me a great break during quarantine. As with the King games ( Candy Crush) you can spend money if you want to but definitely do not have to. You do accumulate points to get free hints. I am in the 900’s level and enjoy the challenge and solving the games on my own. I have paid for nothing. The game challenges you to finish in three time amounts or none depending on how you want to play it. I am going to go back thru games I could not complete without a blue or pink diamond to see if I can finish them with a faster score. Just me and my iPad on the deck passing this COVID time with a fun game. I highly recommend it!!

  • Addictive but I’m currently completely stuck

I have been on Towers level 111 for weeks now. I’m not sure it can be done. I don’t object to it being challenging but it should be do-able.
  • Fun but it’s literally a scam

So, as the tryhard I am, I wanted to bump my 2 star to a 3 on a level because I had only been able to win with a shuffle and I realized something. I played that round 22 times. And each time it told me I had run out of moves and had to shuffle. This game is literally an arcade machine because it’s designed to make it so you can’t win the levels without a shuffle. I had already used my 3 freebies on level 2, 3, and 4, and didn’t want to spend money so I figured I’d eventually get it. I didn’t. Don’t put your money into this. Seriously.

  • Needs additional viewing options

I really appreciate that this game doesn’t get bogged down with ads and the general interface is good. However, there are levels where you can’t see some of the tiles that are open because of the fixed perspective. I would give 5 stars if you could rotate the board or adjust the angle so you can see every open tile. This is especially important for the later towers levels and I’ve had to restart multiple games because I can’t see or click on remaining open tiles. Thanks!

  • Good game, but a money pit!!!

Just got this iPad to make my family happy. I love to play games. I have a desktop pc which is great, and the game sites are good. But The games on here are too programed and predictable. The program will let you win, you ‘re on a roll..then the program changes..and they make it impossible to win, then your buying power ups, shuffles etc because your hooked. That’s why there isn’t any undo or saving a tile. I don’t like easy or childish games, I want to earn my win, but some of the games are very hard to win without saving a tile. I reached level 90 on Four Rivers, but used up my dam extra helps on Quest. Bought extra, but I now realize that’s what it’s all about buying more because you want to play. Wellllll no more. I’ll go back to playing my games on my PC. The only good thing is no ads..now I know why..you have to pay to play! Good Luck.

  • This game is excellent!

Four different game styles. I solved Shanghai in just under 6 minutes. I have solved Quest through level 161, Four Rivers through level 111 and Towers (the absolute toughest style) through level 21. All of that and there are multiple hundreds of levels in each style - incredible!

As one plays and solves levels, coins are earned and can be used to buy some Undo’s or Shuffles. I have rarely used those; I just play until I solve the level then move on to the next or play until there are no more moves, end the game and start it from new - rinse/repeat until I solve it. That type of play isn’t for everyone but I find it much more satisfying than shuffle, shuffle, shuffle until I “win”.

    I highly recommend Majong Games.
